Chapter 154 - Grandma, you will hear the news
Robin went to see his grandma after ending the call with Zayla. His emotions were all over the place, being upset and yet feeling like he had no reason to be upset. 2
"Did you find out what you were looking for? I heard that you fainted," Cecilia asked, feeling disturbed for her grandson who was still looking pale.
Robin had just walked through the doorway, halting at his grandmother's question. He pursed his lips and accused her politely
"Grandma, why did you not tell me? You could have told me to keep it a secret, Grandma. It would have saved my life."
The old woman hugged him comfortingly but she had no regrets for keeping Sabrina's secret.
"I'm very sorry, but I'm not sorry because, wanted her wishes to be respected and did you find out about the treasure?" She asked seriously.
Robin broke from the hug with a regretful look but still stood at the doorway since he did not intend to keep long at the old villa. He had to make it back to the penthouse in time before Zayla falls asleep.
"Yes, but it belongs to Sabrina. I have no use for it," he said, while stretching his hands to return the keys to the old woman. She was quite impressed that Robin was not greedy for the diamonds, confirming the changes she had seen in him.
"Are you going to patch things up with her?" She asked curiously after taking the keys, still hoping that Sabrina would find the heart to forgive Robin but the thought of facing Sabrina again, broke Robin so much.
"Will she ever forgive me?" He asked in the hope that Cecilia would give him a positive response since she was one of the closest persons to Sabrina who loved him as well.
Cecilia did not have an answer but she still encouraged him, "It doesn't stop you from trying."
Robin did not intend to give up anyway. He had for some time considered it but his only fear was the fact that Sabrina would not forgive him because of Zayla.
Now that the bitch's ways were exposed, he was halfway through beginning his revenge plan against her.
"Thank you. I should be leaving now."
Robin was about to leave the old Villa when Cecilia asked him, "What about Kennedy and his daughter?"
She knew that Kennedy was Ronald's main concern before his sickness and could not wait to see how Robin was going to handle the old evil fox.
"Grandma, you will hear the news," Robin said calmly, the old woman smiled in assurance. She understood Robin like no other. The fact that he was calm meant he had control over the situation.
"Alright be careful on the road," Cecilia hugged him again before letting him go. Her warmth was something Robin missed so much and was glad to have patched things up with her.
When Robin got home after an hour or more drive, he met the doctor and took the drug.
"Put it in a drink and wait for it to dissolve. The person should be unconscious in less than two minutes," Doctor Paul explained carefully, Robin gave him a nod of assurance.
"Thank you. Please wait at the security check. I will call you soon."
Again, Doctor Paul wanted to enquire about the details but Robin's cold expression was enough for him to force any question on his mind back down his throat.
When Robin arrived, Zayla met him excitedly at the door and hugged him. He stiffened instantly and his gaze darkened with disgust. Whereas he endured and forced a little smile.
"Robin, how do I look?" Zayla pulled away, twirling around and showcasing her red flair dress, giving her an amazing and seductive blend.
Due to the design of the dress, she did not need her fake bump since the pregnancy was faked to be just three months.
The dress was tight around her bust but loose around her stomach downwards. Robin's bitterness towards her scorched so much, he wanted to strangle her but then again, what if she was carrying his child?
"You look beautiful, Zayla," he tried to smile but it came out forced and his eyes were still cold. Zayla detected how strange his demeanor was but could not put a finger on exactly what it was so she only proceeded to say,
"But you don't look good."
Robin forced another smile to make it look real. "I'm just tired but it doesn't matter. We should get ready to eat."
Zayla frowned in disappointment. The last time Robin invited her out, they met Sabrina and everything was ruined. She thought he was going to make it up to her but Robin's words were not promising enough.
"Are we not going out?" She asked seriously, Robin shook his head and said honestly whiles removing his jacket and loosening his tie,
"No. I just wanted a special time at home with you. I already spoke to the chef so sit down while I handle things."
Robin tried to sound casual and when it felt phony, he tried to make it real by enduring his disgust while he held her by the waist to the sofa, guiding her gently to sit.
"Okay," Zayla agreed.
Perhaps, it was all for the best. Who knows if they go out and bump into Sabrina again? Their romantic time would be ruined.
After ensuring that she was not suspicious of his actions, Robin went to the kitchen and gave the pill he got from Doctor Paul to the chef, saying,
"Drop this in Zayla's drink and let it dissolve before you bring it out."
The chef was confused and suspicious. He knew it was a sleeping pill and wanted to ask why but the air around Robin was just too intimidating, he dared not and responded,
"Yes sir."
"You can start serving the food," Robin instructed calmly.
"Yes sir."
It took less than ten minutes for the dining table to be transformed into a romantic candle lit dinner.
"Zayla, we should eat now," Robin stretched his hand towards her and when she was about to grab onto it, he pulled it away, allowing her to only hold the tip.
Zayla frowned a little. 'Why is Robin behaving strangely,' she thought to herself.
