[Bonus chapter]Chapter 197 – How it all happened

Robin took his time, allowing the pain to sip through his body, anger airing around him.

Aria was about to call security, feeling that her boss was in trouble.

The next moment, Robin returned the punch twice, Devin was on the floor, horrified.

He never expected that Robin would have the nerve to return the punch and was surprised to receive a double.

Shame could not allow him to get up, as Aria chuckled a little while Robin raged,

"How can I protect her when you are protecting the criminal?"

'Protecting the criminal?' Devin was confused.

"No one knows how the document got to her office. The cameras captured nothing and you claim you are protecting her?" He managed to rise to his feet. "You are so full of yourself, Robin. I would never have allowed this to happen if you had not forced yourself into her life.

Robin was so upset he did not want to exchange words with another fool.

"Get out of my office."

"I'm not leaving until you promise to excuse yourself from her life forever," Devin yelled, not caring about anyone around, whether they were staff or visitors.

For Robin to excuse himself permanently from Sabrina's life?

"That would never happen."

"You are the one who failed your promise. You could not protect her," Devin raged, looking for any opportunity to attack Robin again but not getting any loops.

Robin retorted calmly,

"And you are the one protecting the criminal so get out if you don't have anything sensible to say."

Devin calmed down and turned around as if he was ready to leave.

Seeing him headed to the elevator, Robin gasped and turned around when Devin lunged toward him.

"Sir, behind you!" Aria yelled, Robin turned around in time, pushing Devin by the chest, he fell again since Robin's defense was unexpected and he did it before Devin could attack.

Devin growled from pain, as he had not recovered from the two punches.

Blood was dripping down his nose and his mouth was already swollen.

Robin bent over, ready to release punches when Devin asked,

"What are you talking about? I know no criminal."

Robin's hands froze in the air, and he lowered them.

For the sake of Sabrina, he didn't want to hurt Devin too much anyway.

"So, who gave your sister the document to sign?" He asked calmly before adding, "If you want to talk, then act civilly and not like an animal or I will treat you as such."

Devin caught something since he had nothing all along, leading to his frustration.

"You know who gave her the documents?" He asked in shock, wondering how Robin knew when Devin couldn't get that information from all the CCTV cameras in and around Sabrina's office.

Robin held out his hand to help him from the floor, saying,

"If you are willing to behave, then come inside and I will tell you but if not, then get out!"

His hand was held out and Devin knew that if he grabbed hold of it, then it meant that he had to humble himself or even trust whatever Robin was going to tell him.

Remembering Martin's declaration that he now owned the JCs Devin wanted to know how it happened since Martin had refused to answer his calls.

As such, he stretched his hand and joined it to that of Robin, the latter pulled him from the floor.

"Aria, please get him a towel," Robin said when Devin wiped the blood dripping from his nose with the back of his wrist.

"Yes sir," Aria said and left for the store room to get the towel.

When they entered Robin's office, Daniel was surprised to see Devin but before he could ask, Robin instructed,

"Please let's see the video."

Daniel played the video on his laptop. He had gotten everything together including the audio, and worked on the size to be able to get it onto the phone as well.

In a nutshell, Daniel was prepared to launch it viral.

Sabrina was busy on her laptop but lifted her head and smiled at the sight of Martin.

Watching the video, Robin was jealous since she never smiled at him like that before. She even stood up and hugged Martin.

"How are you, Sabrina?"

"Good, and you?"

"Fine."

"So, what brings you here?" She sipped her tea and asked after returning to her chair.

"I was in the neighborhood and thought to come and say hi. Is that bouquet from Robin?" Martin pointed at a bouquet on Sabrina's right-hand side.

Sabrina turned in the direction where she kept the bouquet and Martin asked again,

"Did you dye your hair?"

"How?" Her attention got divided as she tried to see what Martin was talking about.

"This side looks brownish." Martin pointed at the back.

"I can't see," she turned her face to the side, at the same time Martin stretched his and dropped something in her tea."

"Oh, it's the reflection of the light," Martin said apologetically and Sabrina sipped her tea again.

"Should I get you coffee? Tea?" She asked.

"No, I will soon be living. Like I said, I just came to say hi."

Sabrina began to feel dizzy, pouring more tea from her teapot into the cup.

She sipped again and again when Martin said,

"Can you sign this document? I'm buying some assets and need a witness."

Sabrina's eyes were hazy and she was seeing blurrily.

"An asset? Okay."

"Just sign here," Martin showed her and she did.

He brought out another document and skipped to the signature page.2

"Sign here too."

"If there is more, please be fast. I want to sleep."

She signed all the portions before her head hit her desk.

Martin stood up, poured the remaining content in her teacup into the vase of her bouquet, and refilled the cup, too hasty to check the level.

He went around, pulled her drawer, and dropped one of the documents there before going to the door and opening it a little as if checking if anyone was there.

When he saw no one, he walked out and shut the door.

"Did you see that?" Robin asked at the same time Aria entered with the towel.

"Here you are, sir?"

Devin was so shocked, he felt dizzy and numb. No, perhaps he was not seeing right. He had to watch the video again, not caring about the blood anymore.

Taking the small white towel, he said to Aria,

"Thank you."

Then he turned to Robin and asked,

"I prefer to watch my face. Can I use your washroom?" He felt that if he washed his face, then he would be able to detect if he was seeing wrongly.

"It's over there," Robin pointed at his small bedroom, forgetting the many portraits of him and Sabrina he had in there.

The moment Devin went in there, he froze.
