They got there at a time when most people were dancing. Lizzy was still in so much shock till she did not realize they were back to where the party was being held. 1

Judging from how a lot of guys kept eyeing her lustfully, the playboy Daniel knew that should he leave her for even a minute, someone would just grab and take her away from him.

"Since you accepted my gift, you have to dance with only me," Daniel demanded. 

He was used to having his way with money but he knew that money meant nothing for a woman like Lizzy for which reason he did not know how to go about things. 

Lizzy stared at him with a frown on her face. "You said your girlfriend is in your car."

"I don't have a girlfriend so will you be my girlfriend," Daniel asked directly, Lizzy glared at him again. He was so handsome in that gray suit he wore but was also so unromantic. 

Whereas Lizzy found it to be funny and just as Matilda advised, she was not going to give in easily to his advances, though he kind of took her off guard by making her design her dress which he bought for her.

"Hahaha, you are so funny but you aren't my type." Lizzy had to speak a little more loudly due to the music playing in the auditorium.

"What is your type? I can change," Daniel said seriously and Lizzy recalled what Matilda said that they do change if they find the right woman. She began to question herself if she was indeed the right woman for him and thought to prob.

"I like the one-man, one-woman kind of thing if you ask me."

"Well, I haven't fucked a woman for two weeks and that is my greatest achievement. It used to be two a night," Daniel said honestly, Lizzy was shocked. 

She was never into men but didn't think a man could open up his sexual life to someone he doesn't have anything with just like that.

"You are gross."

"I'm being honest and I'm usually not like this with other women. You are the first I've had this kind of conversation with."

Lizzy felt her cheeks warming up when he said those things to her but what if they were all just words of flattery? 

Playboys never lacked the right words and they knew what to say to get a woman into their bed.

"And is that supposed to make me feel special?" Lizzy asked sarcastically, Daniel frowned. He knew that if he tried to hide anything from her, it would not be difficult for her to find out later. It was better to be honest since she was a sister to his best friend's ex-wife.

"Maybe, it's to show you how serious I am. I've never had a girlfriend before but with you, I want to take the risk," Daniel opened up and spoke. Lizzy was so shocked that he was asking her to be his girlfriend in such a fanatic way.

"You are so raw," she said of her observation but was somehow flattered that he was interested in her and like he said, had not been with a woman for two weeks. Perhaps if he was able to extend it to three months, she would be able to give him a chance.

"It's better than being fake. Let's dance," Daniel said and pulled her close to his chest. Since it was time for ballroom dancing, he did not want to miss the opportunity of holding her so close.

Lizzy was surprised by his forceful gestures but since she has never been in any relationship, she felt that all men were just like that.

"I will think about it," she finally said, making Daniel smile as he twirled her around. When he pulled her close again, he said in her ears, 

"We can start with a date at my house. I will cook for you."

Lizzy shivered from the warm air invasion on her ears, her knees wobbled but she tried to take control of herself, laughing awkwardly,

"Haha, you cook?"

"Be the judge, accept the challenge," Daniel said in a soft tone with his eyes boring into hers, she swallowed tightly. 

It was a great risk going into the house of a man who was not her brother. His closeness was also making her very uncomfortable as she finally said,

"I will think about it but I have to join Sabrina now."

She took advantage when he twirled her around but Daniel quickly pulled her to his chest again, saying, 

"Robin is taking care of her. I don't think she needs you."

Daniel was so engrossed in his conversation with Lizzy, such that he did not hear it when Devin walked to where they were. His eyes were covered with both frost and surprise.

"Lizzy, I've been looking for you, where have you been and what happened to your dress? Did you not say that he ordered this one for his girlfriend?" Devin asked, startling Lizzy as she created a gap between her and Daniel.

He was dancing with Matilda earlier and she excused herself to use the ladies' room. Looking around to see if his sisters were fine, he was surprised to see Lizzy with Daniel, wearing the dress she made for his girlfriend.

It was obvious that she was afraid of her brother. Daniel was not liking it and said to Devin, "I bought it for her."

Devin wanted to keep him away from Lizzy but his father's words rang in his ears, all he could say was, "You again. What do you want?"

The fact that he gave the dress to Lizzy, Devin already guessed that he did not have a girlfriend as he said.

Daniel was unfazed, not afraid of Devin. If he wanted a fight, Daniel was ready to give it to him. "I want to date your sister. What do you think?" Daniel asked in a casual tone, Devin felt irritated and responded,

"I think not."

Lizzy felt like her heart fell into her stomach at the way Devin outrightly rejected the idea.

"Then you aren't being fair," Daniel challenged him, afraid that he would influence Lizzy negatively. The girl had already shied away from Daniel because of her brother.

Devin felt like Daniel had to go and thank his father, as his tone softened while he stared at Lizzy and clarified, 

"I said I think not because it's not my decision to make." Lizzy was spellbound and so was Daniel.
