Lizzy, without experience, was finding it hard to understand the playboy's mind. She remembered him saying at the party that he stopped so she asked him,

"But you were able to stop for two weeks."

"Three weeks now because I found one who caught my interest and I don't want to waste my energy anymore. I want to reserve it all for her."

Lizzy's cheeks turned beet red from the way he looked at her while he spoke and she did not say anymore. 

When she arrived at Daniel's house, it was similar to that of Devin, except for the color preferences.

Lizzy observed that his gentlemanliness was close to that of Devin, such as opening the door for her and whatnot. 

Then again, her brother was the only man close to her, making her feel that the comparisons were baseless.

"You can drop your handbag in my bedroom while we go to the kitchen or I will be honored to take it upstairs for you," Daniel smirked, laughing internally at the way confusion clouded her face. 

Lizzy did not think it was right to go to his bedroom during a first date so she said,

"I'd rather drop it here." She dropped her hand back on the center table and when she turned around, he was holding a glass of juice on a tray. 

She contemplated taking it or not but she was here for dinner so she saw nothing wrong and took the glass of juice from Daniel whiles he said,

"Feel free Lizzy, this should be your third home."

'Third home?' Lizzy was finding it weird but settled for it being another joke. To avoid Daniel's flirting and teasing, she diverted her attention to the kitchen. 

"Can we go to the kitchen now?"

"Sure," Daniel agreed. He removed his jacket and hung it on a chair since he would be wearing it again to drive her back home.

When they reached the kitchen and Lizzy saw the ingredients, she was amazed. It was difficult to tell exactly what he had in mind to cook for her but it did not wipe her excitement of experiencing something new. 

"What are you cooking?"

"I got a lot of groceries so you can tell me what you want me to cook for you," Daniel threw back the question to her. Lizzy glowered a little before squinting her eyes,

"I would love steaks with salad. You can make anything you like for dessert, my treat," Lizzy responded, leaving him thinking about what to make for dessert.

"You have an interesting combination," Daniel wore his apron and began to chop the ingredients while they continued to chat. Lizzy was there through it all but was still amazed.

"If I was not here, I would not have believed it. This looks delicious," she swallowed her saliva and spoke. 

"But you have not tasted it yet," Daniel said, a little nervously. He was more concerned about what she would think of the taste.

"I will take it to the dining room," Lizzy went to offer her help but Daniel refused. She was his guest at the moment and he wanted to be the perfect host.

"No, gorgeous. Allow me." He took the tray from her to the dining room and set it on the table.

"Wine, juice, water, or…." Daniel did not finish mentioning the types of drinks he had in store when Lizzy cut in,

"Red wine," she said.

Daniel smiled and brought out his best wine, pouring it for her in the glass. Lizzy was careful to not drink too much while she ate but with time, they began to chat as friends. She had even forgotten about the time when Daniel reminded her, 

"I will take you home. It's getting late."

Lizzy enjoyed her night and was quite sorrowful when it ended. When Daniel dropped her at home, at the door, he waited for the maids to open the door before he said,

"Lizzy, please go on another date with me next week. A real one, not in my house." He was afraid she would refuse but she was rather relieved, smiled, and responded,

"A date it is."

 At the Sula mansion, Martin was sleeping in his room but Mara was having a sleepless night. She tossed and turned in bed, confused as to why there was no news about Sabrina. When she couldn't take it anymore, she called Zayla's father on the phone,

"Have you heard anything about the bitch?"

"Sorry Mara, I don't think she ate the food. I gave someone all the money you gave me to follow her and I got news that she never even went to the hospital. She has been going to work normally."

Ken intentionally added that he used his money so that Mara would send more but Mara was more concerned about the investment she made, turning out to be unfruitful when she might be pregnant for Martin.

For as long as Sabrina was alive, Martin would not just accept everything that happened. Mara had to get to the bottom of this.

"The imprudent waitress. She told me that Sabrina ate the food," Mara said furiously.

"I think she lied or maybe she did not add the poisonous substance," Kennedy replied thoughtfully but Mara was uneasy. It was the reason why she had to risk leaving the house to get things done herself.1

"I added the substance myself before paying her. I ensured it was healthy food so that she would not refuse. I will call her. Goodbye," Mara said and hung up the phone.

She dialed the number of the waitress but it was not going through. She dialed her hacker to find out about the whereabouts of the waiter, only to be met with the news,

"Nothing shows she's on the soil of New York City. She either deceived you or has been caught and killed by Robin. If not, then she run away," her hacker said carelessly, while Mara was seething at the end of the line.
