Chapter 105 – Sabrina has equal right to me.

Francisca forced a smile and walked back to her room. When she reached the entrance, she turned around and said, "I will leave tomorrow but don't forget what I told you, Zayla."1

Frank saw the confusion on Zayla's face and felt she would change her mind. He immediately said, 

"Zayla, trust me. You have to return to your penthouse to take control of your home before Sabrina rips it from you. She now controls Robin, and he would give her anything, including Jewel Group, if only she asks for it."

Zayla nodded her head, accepting her father's suggestion, as her mother shook her head with disappointment and went to her room. 

Zayla agreed with her father that she had to constantly be in Robin's life to stop him from getting close to Sabrina. 

"I will leave first thing in the morning and go to his office."

The next day, Zayla went to Robin's office, but since he had not arrived, Aria refused to open the door for her. As soon as she saw Robin, her anger surged, and she yelled, 

"Robin, where exactly have you been?" Zayla demanded, and Robin frowned instantly.

He did not answer her question and walked past her, but Aria had already gone ahead to enter some codes before the door opened. 

She was surprised by how Zayla had disrespected the boss right in the open, glad that her boss walked away from her.

Zayla was right behind Robin when he entered his office and asked again, "Robin, did you just walk out on me?"

Robin turned around, and his expression was frosty. He treated Sabrina worse than he treated Zayla, but not for once did she raise her voice at him. 

"Have you lost your manners, Zayla? How dare you talk to me like that, forgetting we were at the reception area?"

From the way his voice raised, Zayla realized that she was wrong to have lost control. Robin was a man with a big ego, and getting him angry could spell doom for her. 

She swallowed her anger and softened her voice,

"I'm sorry, Robin, I'm just depressed."

"What do you want?" Robin asked when he sat on his executive swivel chair and turned on the laptop. Zayla had everything at her beck and call with no pressure about managing a company, so why should she suffer depression?

Zayla went around to hug him from the back, and he stiffened instantly while she said, "I missed you. When are you coming home?"

Robin realized that the more he lived with Zayla, the more her actions irritated him. Sabrina's presence brought him calmness, in contrast to what he felt for Zayla. 

He convinced himself that he loved Zayla, but why couldn't he stand her presence?

"In two days," he responded without taking his eyes away from his laptop. His heart was strangely pained at the knowledge that he would not be able to watch Sabrina sleep after two days to steal one or two kisses.

Zayla did not like the idea, knowing that the more time Robin spent with Sabrina, the more his attitude toward her, Zayla changed. 

"But why? Where is this business? I want to come with you," Zayla insisted. Knowing that Sabrina was pregnant for him, she meant to be in his life every step of the way. She would not let Sabrina win.

"You can't come with me," Robin said in annoyance, not wanting anyone to ruin the short moment he had with Sabrina. He knew that she would never take him back but would give anything to enjoy a calming moment with her.

"But why?" Zayla asked in a sing-song voice. 

Not able to stand the irritation, Robin decided to tell her since he was not used to lying in the first place.

"Because it's Sabrina. She's sick, and it's my responsibility to take care of her."

Zayla's heart sank at the gentleness he attached to mentioning Sabrina's name. Her father was right, and Zayla felt like she had lost, but then again, Robin would never leave her, knowing that she was pregnant.

"But you are divorced. You are not obligated to," she frowned and said, standing behind Robin, but he continued with what he was doing, responding absentmindedly to her,

"She is carrying my child too, Zayla. Sabrina is two months pregnant with me." 

Zayla was not stupid not to hear the pride in his voice when he talked about Sabrina's pregnancy. Also, she was not expecting him to tell in the first place, so this was a silent message that Robin would not stop seeing his ex-wife. 

Zayla thought about a way to create doubt in his mind and said,

"Robin, it can't be yours. She has a boyfriend, remember?"

Robin grimaced and responded, "I told you they were fake dating. Sabrina is two months pregnant, and we have only been divorced for a month, in case you failed to do the calculation."

Zayla was saddened that he also called her dumb to her face when her father had also said to her face that she was not smart.

"But you are still divorced, and her family can take care of her. I am carrying you, child, too." Zayla carefully touched his soft spot, knowing that it was his greatest weakness. 

However, she soon regretted it this time.

"How did you know about her family? You said you knew nothing about her?"

Zayla felt like her father's words were curses that were now taking a toll on her life. Why did she always speak before thinking?

"At the birthday party, there were people all around her, so I assumed they were her family members," Zayla quickly came up with an excuse. Robin could not doubt it since it made sense but thought to clarify things with Zayla.

"Anyway, as long as Sabrina is carrying my child, she has equal rights to me. I will see her every morning and evening after she is discharged from the hospital, and you have to accept that."
