Sabrina was overjoyed. Finally, the guilt she carried in her heart for years was about to melt away. Matilda said she had forgiven her but Sabrina wanted to see her to know that she meant every word and not just because she had been kept away in a mansion. 

Devin and Martin had done a great job in bringing this happiness to her, for which reason she did not have to think twice before going on a real date with Martin. 

Martin was unamused due to how quickly she accepted the request without a thought to it and explained further, 

"It's going to be an evening outing."

"Deal. Let's make it over the weekend," Sabrina confirmed to show that she understood the request. Martin's lips stretched and a smile filled it. He looked so handsome when he was happy like that and he had to hold himself from just grabbing and hugging Sabrina tightly.

"You have no idea how happy you made me," Martin bloomed and Sabrina was about to say that the feeling was mutual and he deserved this as a reward when Devin cut in and said,

"I figured you'd be busy so I ordered lunch to be delivered to you and Dad in the office."

Sabrina smiled wider. If she was to die and come back again, she would never ask for any other brother except Devin. "I'm so honored to have a brother like you," she said with glistening eyes. Devin chuckled and said,

"The best gifts Mum gave me were you, Lizzy, and Dad. I have no regrets and I'm happy for everything we have been through together." Then he paused as if he just remembered something important and said, "That reminds me. For your next antenatal in two weeks, you have to go with Martin."

"It's the right thing to do," Sabrina agreed without a blink. With nothing more to do, both Devin and Martin returned to their various offices. When Martin reached his office, his excitement bloomed even more and most of his workers were surprised to see the big boss happy in broad daylight but no one could ask him why. 

As soon as he sat on his executive swivel chair, he called to make arrangements for their special dinner. He continued to work, smiling all through when the smile was wiped by a phone call he could not dare to refuse to answer.

"Mara, what do you want?" He asked a bit irritably since he had the agreement to not be disturbed by his sister during work hours. Mara was always straightforward forward so she said directly,

"You signed a deal with her."

"You are already aware of it," Martin agreed but did not expect the next question,

"So, when are you signing the next one?"

Martin frowned and responded, 

"It's too early."

Mara sounded displeased. She expected him to sign the first two deals together, for which reason she was unhappy when only one document was sent to her email. She was the one to orchestrate the deal with JC Minerals as soon as she heard of Sabrina's divorce and the fact that she worked with her father. 

Martin had his interest at heart and did not refuse when Mara suggested it. However, after witnessing the happiness on Sabrina's face after signing the first deal, he had no intention to continue with the second and third. The second one was not bad but he knew that as soon as he got that signed, Mara would be ready to take down JC Minerals with the third deal, which he did not want to allow. 

"They are supposed to be three. The first and second were to help you gain her trust so you should sign it as soon as possible."

"Alright. I will prepare it and send it to her next week," Martin gritted his teeth and spoke. For this week, he wanted nothing to ruin his first real date with the only woman he loved.

"That is too far," Mara disagreed but Martin had just had it to his neck.

"Mara, I am the one handling the company. If you are capable, then come and do it yourself," he said sternly. Mara could not move but her brain was sharp and she always had everything she needed around her. 

However, it would be impossible for her to manage the company on her own so she gave up and said,

"Alright, next week but don't play any games. The bitch has to lose everything. I saw the news today that JC Minerals has picked up. Why did you not tell me she was your date at the party? I had to be shocked by the news and pictures," she asked in an angry tone. Martin relaxed and said,

"Everything was just a business collaboration. You are worrying too much." He wanted to hang up the phone and get back to work since he never puts Mara on speaker, just in case someone walks in. Her existence was only known to him and her special caretaker whom they paid handsomely. Not even the maids in the mansion knew that a paralyzed woman was in the mansion. 

"You have to promise me that you will destroy the bitch. I'm in this condition because of her and once she is down, I will sign off everything to you. I can't continue living like this," she said in a pitiful tone. 

Martin did not believe that she would do as said but asked out of curiosity, "And after that, you won't interfere in my life again?"

"No. After that, you can marry whoever you choose. I just want revenge," she said seriously. Martin responded in a neutral tone,

"Alright. I will see you in the evening."

"Are you tired of talking to me?" Mara asked in a displeased tone, upset that he wanted to hang up on her.

"No. There is just a lot of work to do."

At Robin's office, he was in a meeting with his executive members when a text message came through. 

'I don't know if you are interested in this one but he just booked a private room in a luxury hotel for a romantic dinner with Sabrina.'

Robin's expression changed and he was instantly uncomfortable.
