Chapter 74 – Could Robin be so kind?
Robin feared that Sabrina might go into depression and what if it affected his child? Robin was ready to make the Sacrifice for the sake of their unborn child.0
"She is Sabrina's best friend," he stated once more to Daniel, so he'd get serious. He knew about Daniel's liking of Sabrina as compared to Zayla.
Even with the hotel incident, he had encouraged Daniel to come but he refused because Robin had said he was bringing Zayla along.
"That would take a while," Daniel said on the phone after a few seconds.
"Make it faster," Robin pressured. Martin swallowed a lump in his throat. Robin was his most difficult client. He always wanted everything fast but they were also best friends.
"I will try my best but Robin, what is this interest?" Daniel asked on the phone while he continued to search for what Robin had required of him.
"Sabrina is pregnant. Her best friend confirmed it. Of course, no one must know about it," Robin said excitedly, Daniel realized that he was not this excited about the news of Zayla's pregnancy.
To taunt Robin once more, Daniel asked again,
"Did she also confirm that it was yours?"
Robin frowned in annoyance and responded, "She said she could not betray her best friend."
"That means it's yours," Daniel cracked the code too and Robin's excitement increased.
"Of course, but you already informed me about her relationship with Devin and Martin so even if she didn't, it would still be only mine," he said possessively, Daniel could not help being happier.
Since Robin had an attachment to Sabrina, it only meant that Daniel would have more opportunities to see Lizzy too.
"So, are you going to see her?" Daniel wanted to make it a point to go with Robin if he responded in the affirmative, to have the opportunity to see Lizzy.
"No. If I do that, it would be suspicious. I will strike during her next antenatal."
Robin was more confident now than before, happy to have trusted his instinct all this while. Sabrina might want to be away from him but sadly, he was going to ensure that she sees his face every morning, so their child looks exactly like him or so he thought.
"Congratulations on having two unborn babies!" Daniel screamed from the end of the line, Robin replied
,
"Thank you."
Then he hung up. His mood for the day was completely transformed after Matilda's visit.

At JC clothing, Devin received a call.
"Mr. Cage, I saw a blonde woman coming out and going into your penthouse."
Devin was relaxed. His sisters were all blondes.
"That should be my sister…" He paused, recalling that Lizzy was dropped at his office by his dad while Devin picked and dropped Sabrina so technically, it could not be either of them. "Wait, I dropped her in her office earlier."
"That is why I thought to inform you," his spy informed him. Devin wondered who the blonde-haired woman was and what she was after. He feared that Matilda's father must have equally sent a spy.
"Alright, thank you," he said and ended the call, instantly dialing the landline number.
At the same time, Matilda walked in. She had discarded the red dress and wig, entering in a hot pant and tank top she wore under the dress.
It was the only dress she picked when she was escaping from her father's mansion since it was the only gift she received from the man who complicated her.
It brought painful memories but she didn't know why she kept it. Hearing the phone ring, she only guessed three people. Sabrina, Lizzy, or Devin.
"Hello,"
"Matilda, did any woman come into the house?" Devin asked worriedly, Matilda felt uneasy. She paused on the line and Devin was about to ask again before she responded,
"You mean this house? No."
She tried her best to be calm on the phone but she was shivering slightly, feeling vile for having secretly gone to seek Robin's help.
"My spy informed me that a blonde woman went out and into the penthouse," Devin said directly, Matilda's breath hitched.
She searched her mind for a sensible excuse and when none seemed forthcoming, she decided to confess but opening her mouth, words she had not thought about came out.
"Are you sure he did not mistake this house for that of one of your neighbors? Nobody came in or went out."
Devin was quiet for a while. The spy was usually a distance away so what if he mistook his house for the next one?
"You are right but I will just check the cameras."
Matilda felt like she had been caught and there was no way around it so she just had to confess and face the consequences. She opened her mouth but the line had already died and she feared calling Devin back.
She should have thought through this plan better and now, she feared losing everything. If Devin sent her out, it wouldn't take long before she'd be caged in her father's mansion again and who would save her this time?
Matilda was greatly disturbed, and her heart was pounding very hard in her chest. A few minutes later, the phone rang again. Her hands shook before reaching the handset.
"The cameras did not capture anything. It might be the neighbors as you said but just be careful while you are there and keep all doors locked. I will increase the security," Devin said calmly.
Matilda released the air she was steadfastly holding in her lungs, happy that she was not caught.
"Thank you, Devin."
When the call ended, she let out all the air in her lungs with a long sigh. Matilda was convinced that Robin was the reason why Devin got nothing from the cameras but why was he helping her? Was he so kind?
Matilda shook her head and thought again, if it wasn't Robin, then who could have saved her from this mess? She could not wrap her head around it.
