Chapter 76 – Matilda’s liberation.

After what her father said, Sabrina began to worry about her emotions. She had to find ways to put them in check and she felt that would only be possible if she stayed away from Robin. 0

However, with this collaboration, she would have to keep in mind that they were bound to meet more than they ever did.

"Okay, I will sign them too."

When she was about to stand up, she felt a slight headache and even yawned. "Dad, I think I will take an early day off. I feel so tired."

Her father nodded his head. He already noticed it but felt she should be the best doctor for her body. She should know when to rest and when to work.

"A pregnant woman needs rest and have you been taking your vitamins?" He asked seriously, Sabrina felt guilty but neither could she hide it.

"I missed two days."

"Sabrina!" Her father yelled.

He was visibly angry but then again, what was Devin doing? Did he not say that he could take care of Sabrina like he used to do before?

"I'm sorry, Dad," Sabrina lowered her head in shame and spoke. Cobby shook his head before saying softly, though his words were stern.

"Look, the only reason I don't regret your marriage with Robin is because of the child in your womb. Please take care of him or her. I have to inform Devin to always ensure that you take your vitamins or else, you move into the mansion."

Sabrina knew she would be better taken care of in the mansion because of all the maids but she could not leave Matilda alone. Also, no one should know about her whereabouts until her name was cleared.

There are just too many maids in the mansion for which reason it was not safe for Matilda to be there.

"I won't miss them again, I promise," Sabrina said solemnly.

"Okay," Cobby agreed.

As soon as Sabrina left his office, she called Devin on the phone to inform him about going home early.

"Devin, I don't feel so good so I will take a cab home."

"No, I will come and get you. Just give me twenty minutes and I'll be there," Devin said seriously, he was not taking no for an answer.

"Alright," Sabrina agreed while doing a few things to keep herself busy in the course of waiting for Devin.

Devin was stepping out of his office when he bumped into his secretary.

"Mr. Cage, you have a parcel," His secretary said while handing him a medium-sized box. Devin's eyes squinted since he was not expecting any parcel at the moment and asked,

"From where?"

"There is no address and the delivery man has long gone," the secretary explained.

Devin hastily tore it open and as soon as he saw Matilda's name, he closed everything and took it to his car.

While he drove to Sabrina's office, he kept wondering whether the document in the box was going to clear and complicate Matilda.

However, the greatest question was who sent it and why. Did anyone know that Matilda was with him to specifically send him documents involving her? It was not as if they were family.

After picking up Sabrina from the office, he asked her seriously, "What is wrong with you?"

Sabrina yawned and said, "Devin, I just feel tired and I need rest."

"Then I guess I will leave the package for tomorrow since I don't know if it's good or bad news. It involves Matilda" Devin shrugged and revealed while driving.

"What package are you talking about?" Sabrina felt a renewed energy at the mention of Matilda and was eager to know more.

"Let's go home first. I'm driving and would not be able to contain your excitement," Devin chuckled upon seeing how her mood suddenly changed.

Reaching home, Matilda was in the middle of preparing lunch.

"Why did you not mention that you were coming? I would have made extra lunch," she asked worriedly.

"We can as well look at this first," Devin brought out the box and began to open it while he spoke. Matilda turned off the gas and joined them.

"There is a pen drive," Sabrina noticed.

"Let's see what it has," Devin said while inserting the pen drive into his laptop. A video from two years ago began to play and Matilda's eyes rolled with tears.

"So that is what happened," she said with a bitter smile. Not only did Stanley break heart but also set up, drugged, and injected her with cocaine before calling the authorities on her. How evil? "How Could he do this to me?"

Matilda's sobs broke Devin's heart and he ended up pulling her into his arms comfortingly.

"We shall find out after getting him arrested but this has to go viral," Devin said with a calm but furious tone.

"Thank you, Devin, thank you very much," Matilda cried and Devin was not one to take credit for a job he did not do. His hackers tried but could not get anything.

Whoever did this, must be a top hacker and Devin wished to meet him or her someday.

"Honestly, I don't know where it came from."

"What?" Not only Matilda but Sabrina was equally shocked and they both spoke in unison.

Devin gulped while he revealed, looking at Sabrina while he loosened his hold on Matilda.

"It was delivered to my office when I was coming to get you."

"So, who sent it?" Sabrina asked, eager to thank the person for this wonderful information.

"I don't know but proof is proof," Devin shrugged.

"Then how can we trust the source?" Sabrina was still disturbed and asked.

"I will find out who but if the person was an enemy, I doubt he or she would help us."

"You are right about that," Sabrina said.

Hearing their conversation, Matilda felt once again that Robin was the one and wanted to thank him but that would be too risky. She smiled and sat back in her chair, certain that this was a sign Robin was watching Sabrina and she needn't be afraid.

"I see you are happy," Sabrina observed Matilda and spoke.

"You have no idea, Sabrina," Matilda responded dazedly with a smile.

"Once the video goes viral, your father would find the idiot wherever he is," Sabrina said whiles Devin was busy uploading the video on social media pages for the offender to be found.

"And I can have my life back. I wouldn't have gotten this far without you." Matilda went to hug Sabrina and they sat that way.
