Chapter 401 “Snake Clan’s Ancestor (2)”1

Before her last words could even come to an end, Bai Yan’s longsword had already slashed down from above, splitting a good chunk of the snake’s flesh in that split second.

“AHHHH!” Crying out an excruciating scream, Qing Luan’s voice nearly cracked from how high pitched it was.

Unwilling to accept reality, the snake immediately retaliates by shooting her massive body at the perpetrator. Unfortunately for Qing Luan, there’s no way her target would just wait and take the attack head on.

Shaking violently from the tremendous pain, the snake rolls around in the ground feverously as she tried to knock the hateful woman off. Sadly, it’s useless and only caused her even more pain following each ripping action.

“No! Get off of me this instant. If you dare do this to me then my father will never let you go for this!!!”

All members of the Demon race are naturally born with the ability to take human form, but that’s under the pretense of their energy reserve being adequate to maintain that form. Now that Qing Luan’s all bruised up, there’s no way she could do that to release herself, hence the reason why she would only rampage around in her beastial form on this cliff.

Meanwhile on the side, Wang Xiaopeng (chubby) was all gawking and flabbergasted at this hand scaling show of a giant snake, “I really have to hand it to this snake, if she’s this weak then don’t come out to shame herself! And here I was under the assumption that she’s all powerful back there, scaring my poor little heart back and forth.”

In response to his friend’s comment, Bai Xiachen had proudly knocked his chin up like a gloating child: “Of course. As long as my mother’s around then all evil in this world can forget about hiding from us.”

“Bai Yan, the Snake Clan will never let you go for this!” Dreadfully weak in her voice, Qing Luan’s state was terrible right now as her blood stained the earthly soil.

Even when facing death, this snake demoness never once asked for mercy. The reasoning wasn’t anything elaborate, it’s due to her own belief that once she’s dead then the entire clan would take notice. By then, it would just be a matter of time before retribution befalls her killer.

“Nothing but a little clan of snakes and still wants to harm their master? Are you that daft or are you that daft?” Just when Qing Luan thought her revenge would be secured, this soft and cynical voice had dropped down like a bomb from above.

The one speaking here was a girl in a pinkish dress of peach blossom color with a particularly similar feature to Di Cang’s very own face. That’s right, this was none other than Di Xiao Wan, the demon princess!

“How come you are here too Xiao Wan?” Turning around, Bai Yan was rather confused by the girl’s sudden appearance.

“I originally wanted to come help you, but…” Sweeping her sight over to the scaled snake there, Di Xiao Wan actually showed a flash of sympathy in her eyes.

Of all the people this Qing Luan could’ve provoked she just had to pick Sister-in-law. In particular was her idiotic move of touching Xiachen, that’s suicidal!
