After Ye Jiu and the people from the International Crimes Unit came out of a hotel, the 4th division led him to the coast area. 

He followed their instructions and got on a boat. Nobody knew why, but perhaps he had not slept well last night, as there were dark circles around his eyes.

Both captains were waiting for him by the shore. 

The captain of the 4th division opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but was not sure if he should say it or not. In the end, he decided to voice his concern and said, "If we want to recruit Fu Zhi, wouldn't she be unhappy if she learned that we took Ye Jiu away for in vivo research?"

"I think it should be fine," the captain of the 5th division answered as he lit a cigarette. The mask on the man's face glinted coldly under the smoke as the last sunray shone on it before it was covered up by the rising clouds. 

"Everything in this world has a price. It's exactly because they failed multiple times that a successful specimen like Fu Zhi was born. Besides, don't all experiments require sacrifices? Fu Zhi is a smart person, and she should know better than us that Ye Jiu is nothing but a failed product purchased by a buyer. What we're doing now is just recycling someone else's unwanted trash to get the most value out of it."

The captain of the 4th division still looked worried.

He might not have been that apprehensive if he hadn't seen Fu Zhi beat Matthew up, but right now, he had no idea why but he did not have a good feeling about this mission.

The members of the International Crimes Unit were moving the medical equipment and medicine.

Suddenly, just as the captain of the 5th division took a look at his watch, a black kitten fell from the sky and swooshed past them both. Its claws flashed out as it charged toward the ship.

Ye Jiu took a step to the side and avoided the kitten's attack by a hair's breadth. 

The kitten mewled after missing its target and stared at Ye Jiu with its pair of golden eyes. A second later, its golden eyes shot out of their sockets toward Ye Jiu's heart.

"Watch out!" The captain of the 4th division shouted. 

Before Ye Jiu could do anything, he felt a strong tug at his back. 

A fair, thin arm grabbed Ye Jiu by his collar and pulled him backward.

The newcomer was wearing black spandex. Her face was covered with a golden mask marked with Country M's royal crest, and only her beautiful blue eyes and bright red lips could be seen.

She pinned Ye Jiu on the mask of the ship by grabbing his neck and began sizing him up.

"So the second-generation failed subject of Chinese DNA splicing technology can't even handle a mechanical cat?" she said, her eyes filled with compassion.

Ye Jiu could taste blood in his throat. He tried his best to break free from the woman's clutch, but to no avail. 

The woman admired his struggle for a moment and only let him go after the captain of the 4th division arrived.

"You were worried that I would kill him?"

The captain of the 4th division stared at the woman in front of him warily. "We agreed to work with Country M's royal family on the in vivo research on one condition: that you guys would not harm Ye Jiu or do anything against his will." 

"You've misunderstood," the woman said as she picked the mechanical cat up from the ground. "I was born to promote love and peace. My fathers, who created me, set up a program inside of me. I'm not allowed to harm humans, and all things considered, Ye Jiu is still a human."

Ye Jiu's pupils constricted. He jerked his head up and stared at the woman in disbelief. 

He seemed as if he was digesting what she was trying to say. 

"You've been genetically modified, right?" he asked.

The woman looked at Ye Jiu pitifully. "Anything born through genetic modification and DNA splicing technology is just a technically flawed thing developed by backward countries. That's why your organs are failing. I'm different from you. My fathers and country have endowed me with perfection in the true sense of the word. I embody all the hard work and resource packages of every genius in Country M. My life will not end, and I am the being closest to God."

Resource packages and endless life. It sounded tempting, but she was not really human.

Compared to Ye Jiu, the two captains were not shocked. It seemed as if they'd already known about the woman's existence a long time ago. 

"Do you have any other questions? If you don't…" The woman put the kitten on the ground and turned around to face Country M's personnel behind her. "Get the medical equipment and the operating table ready. The operation will start in 30 minutes."

After saying that, she jumped out of the ship and disappeared from everyone's line of sight.

"Are you alright?" The captain of the 4th division approached Ye Jiu. When he saw the welt around Ye Jiu's neck, he asked, "Do you need to apply some ointment?"

Ye Jiu lifted his hand to grab his neck and shook his head. He looked in the direction the woman had disappeared and asked, "Is she the android created by Country M's royal family?"

The captain of the 4th division fell silent for a moment before nodding.

He shouldn't tell Ye Jiu about this, for this was a secret mission that even the captain of the 1st division did not know about.

However, Ye Jiu was going to die soon. 

Therefore, he said, "Way back when we started our research on the first generation of genetically modified humans, Country M began to prepare for android development. Unfortunately, due to the underdevelopment of science and technology at the time, they kept running into a blank wall. It was only last year that they made a breakthrough and Aurora was born."

Country M's research was as difficult as theirs. It was just that Country M's research was more time-consuming and they'd only managed to achieve an advancement last year. 

However, they did not have much information about this woman. All they knew was that it was claimed that she was even more perfect than Fu Zhi and the others. She had been born to fight for her country and she was an existence that most closely resembled the Western gods.

"Initially, I thought she would not be able to stay with me for long, just like the rabbit. While Ye San and the others were hugging her, I kept my distance from her. She thought I didn't like her. From time to time, she would come to my room and watch me from outside. Then, she would run back to her room and cry her eyes out."

"On her birthday, Fu Zhao bought her a set of pink dolls with a castle, and she loved it. The captain of the 4th division laughed.

Ye Jiu chuckled as well. "Honestly, I was living in constant fear that she might die one day when I was a kid. After all, when I first saw her, she was still inside the nursery. She was particularly small in size, and those people told me that she was in a critical condition. However, when I thought about it, I realized that everyone is going to die anyway. At first, I raised her like I'd raised my rabbit. I would attach a lease on her neck when we went out together. "But it doesn't matter. She has a lot of brothers to take care of her, and honestly, I don't think I'm sacrificing myself at all. Once the research has come to fruition, someone else in this world will love her instead of me."

She was his one and only sister. The sick, weak rabbit he had once owned had not lived through the winter, but Fu Zhi could. 

He did not have any regrets anymore. He just felt a little bit sad.

When they were kids, it was his sister who had stood up, hugged him, and cared for him every single time. Therefore, he figured that he had to do something this time, even if it cost his life. After all, he was her brother. 

The captain of the 4th division did not say anything else.

He did not have a sister, so he could not understand how he felt. However, he knew Ye Jiu very well. According to the machine, Ye Jiu had an antisocial personality disorder, and a person like him would supposedly never sacrifice themselves for other people. 

However, he was ready to give his life away so that other people like him could survive, and it was all because of Fu Zhi.

Fu Zhi's heart was pounding madly inside of her chest, and she could not chase away the bad feeling tugging at her.

Very soon, his staff got back to him with an answer. "They are in International Waters now."

Fu Zhi asked Wang Rao to move away and hopped onto the driving seat.

"There's a tracking chip in Ye Jiu's body. I don't have my computer with me, so try to see if you can help me track his location." As Fu Zhi commanded them, she stepped on the gas pedal hard. 

"Do you think Ye Jiu is with the International Crimes Unit right now?"

"Yes," Fu Zhi replied.

At that moment, Wang Rao's phone rang. He pulled his phone out and said, "Ms. Fu, there's a parcel for you at Iris Time Villa. The sender is Ye Jiu."

Fu Zhi was dumbfounded.

She kept tapping on her phone, and perhaps God heard her prayer, as the call was finally connected.

She stopped the car by the roadside.

In the video, she could see the sea behind him.

Clouds had covered the sky, and he flashed a grin at her.

"I got you a pink villa," he said. "There are dolls, roses, and many pink plushies that I like. The place is big, and the view is superb. You can stay with all the people that you love there."
