After exiting the residential area and driving down the road for less than five minutes, Shi Yao saw a 24-hour pharmacy by the side of the road.

She hurriedly stepped on the brakes.

A second after the car came to a stop, she alighted from the car and rushed into the pharmacy.

After buying a thermometer and fever medicine, Shi Yao still asked the owner of the pharmacy for the bill.

The owner was very enthusiastic, and he told her some tips on how to lower the temperature if the fever didn't subside.

After thanking him, Shi Yao took a bottle of alcohol and a bag of cotton balls before leaving the pharmacy. She hurriedly returned to Lin Jiage's house.

After closing the door to the living room, Shi Yao took off her shoes. The first thing she did was to run over to Lin Jiage's bedroom and check his breathing with her fingertips. After making sure that his breathing was normal, she heaved a sigh of relief, she took the towel that was already warm from the high fever from his forehead and soaked it in cold water to cool it down before placing it back on Lin Jiage's forehead.

Shi Yao took out the thermometer and stuffed it into Lin Jiage's mouth before heading to the dining room.

She placed the water on the bedside table and took out the fever medicine. After reading through the manual, she realized that almost three minutes had passed. She then took the thermometer out of Lin Jiage's mouth and brought it before her eyes to take a look at the results.

Thirty-nine and a half degrees... to think that the fever would be so severe. No wonder he didn't even react when she rolled off his bed and made such a huge ruckus..

While she was thinking, Shi Yao took out the fever medicine.

She stuffed the medicine into his mouth while holding a cup of water.
