This news really did make Yufeng quite happy- his father had given him quite the pleasant task, and his troubled thoughts all washed away! His father didn't set a time limit on the investigation, and didn't even mention it much- this meant that he was supposed to go after Lingshan right now!1

He liked this assignment very much!

House Song's Song Xiangwen, on the other hand, didn't give Lingshan this news in order to surprise her- as far as he was concerned, Lingshan would be very happy! After all, she wanted someone stronger than her- this man was the son of House Yu, for sure!

Other men from the noble houses weren't even close!

Lingshan didn't know that one phone call from her to her grandpa would rouse up so much trouble.

By the time Lin Yi left Lingshan's apartment, it was already getting dark and the night winds gradually helped clear his mind

Lingshan's seduction almost made him give in- he felt that his mentality had changed after entering this sort of environment in Songshan. He wasn't as cold and cruel as before, he wasn't an iron-hearted man anymore!

The Lin Yi now was easier to touch, easier to move- it seemed like there were many colors in his life now, and he didn't know if that was agood thing.

After getting in the car, he started driving home- but an important question popped up.

He felt that his allies weren't enough in number! He was now the strongest among all his allies, and while he did want to make Uncle Fu, Weiwu, and Lingshan stronger, he couldn't!

The energy within the jade space was inexhaustible, but a problem arose when it came to his status as a medium! There was a limitation- he was a Mystic, so he could only level up people to Golden class full late phase at most, not one bit more than that!

So, in order to make them stronger, he himself had to become stronger and break through into Earth class- this would allow his allies to become Mystics! Although, it did feel unneeded…

After all, if he became Earth class, there wasn't much point in having Mystic class helpers, was there?

But, if he were able to bring someone into the jade space, that'd be the most preferable- he'd let them suck energy right from that source! But he didn't want to let anybody know about this trump card- this was his secret move, and only his most closest one would ever share in this secret.

If Tang Yun were a practitioner, he'd give this secret to her without hesitation! He knew her intentions very clearly- she was someone who wouldn't leave his side, and she was even willing to go back to his old home for a farmer's life!

Other people… Lin Yi didn't have that much trust in them just yet. Well, even if he did, he couldn't bring them into the jade space anyway!

It'd be great if he could just move all that energy out into the open from the jade space… But it was just a thought he had.

He returned home to see Yushu and Mengyao sitting in front of the coffee table, a bunch of posters were in front of them as they flipped through. It was a miracle- they weren't watching TV tonight.

The Miss only nodded her head when she saw Lin Yi return, not looking happy or dissatisfied, evidently already used to him returning home late. This was her cold attitude, as usual.

Yushu, on the other hand, was impatient. "Shield Bro, how come you've only just come home! Hurry, come look at this with us- where should we go for our trip?"

"Trip?" Lin Yi blinked and walked over to the sofa beside Yushu, "What trip?"

"There's a holiday coming up, and we were planning to go out and play! Shield Bro, where should we go?" Yushu started pointing at the magazines and posters and ads on the table which were all about tourist spots and the like, "We can't sort out our options- help us take a look please!"

"Holiday?" Lin Yi only then remembered that they were talking about International Labor's day- a holiday.

He now had a normal life - this wasn't something he had the privilege of enjoying back then. He would just get suddenly thrown into missions all the time, and the days without those would be his holidays!

So he really didn't have a good idea of what a holiday was, not until Yushu mentioned it. So he was a student now, he had holidays…

"Yeah!" Yushu nodded. She passed on a bunch of posters to him.

"Where do you guys wanna go?" Lin Yi put them aside, not looking at them, "The ads on here are all exxagerated- it really isn't that useful. Although, I do have a medicine company opening ceremony I have to attend that day, I can't leave. Maybe you two can go alone?"

"Then we'll go on the second day, May 2nd! There's a lot of days in this holiday anyway!" Yushu said, shrugging, "Right, Yao Yao sis?"

"Yeah… Lin Yi, I was thinking of inviting Tang Yun and Feng Xiaoxiao to go together," Mengyao nodded and raised her head at him.

The Miss's words took him by surprise- he didn't expect her to be inviting them on her own! Although, she was indeed someone who thought reasonably, and so he supposed that it really wasn't that big of a surprise. What he didn't expect was that she herself, said it this time, not just through Yushu.

"Sounds good. I saw that Xiaoxiao had a wish to go to the beach and see the sunrise- maybe we could do that, go to the beach? We won't follow the tourist group, too," Lin Yi said, remembering that Xiaoxiao wrote that she wanted to eat a poached egg at the beach- he found it amusing and troubling. He really didn't understand what this poached egg was doing in this fantasy- how'd she connect them?

"That works," Mengyao didn't disagree, "Then I'll leave it to you."

"Oh, that's great, we get to catch sharks again!" Yushu clapped her hands, very happy that they were going to the beach.

"Hah…" Lin Yi shrugged- that was it, and he left to take a shower.
