Nobody is man enough

Rudra was escorted into the council room by the Aurelius clan soldiers and he was very unimpressed by his summoning.1

The only reason why he went so far to help the Bloodfall clan was because of his blood brother Max- 

In the wider sense, he did not work as a specialist to formulate war strategies but that role was demanded of him today. 

Walking into the war council room, he scanned the men inside the room before making eye contact with Regus Aurelius. 

The vampire monarch was looking at him with an expressionless face, he had probably already scanned his tier and had found out that he was a tier1 old human but his face did not show any trace of disappointment at this fact. 

If he was internally looking down on him it surely did not show on his face which made Rudra evaluate the monarch in a good light. 

Unfortunately not everyone in the war council room had the good sense of the monarch as one of his counsellors brazenly pointed towards him as he said " IS THIS COUNCIL A JOKE TO YOU LORD RAVAN? THAT'S A TIER1 WEAKLING ANT " 

A dangerous smile crept up on Rudra's face, if this were a different time that finger that the man had pointed towards him would be sliced into 1500 pieces by this point

" THIS IS RIDICULOUS! So now you want the council to hear the ramblings of a weakling who has never been in a thick of a war? 

What is your qualification, old man? Have you ever been a military captain? 

Have you ever led a 100 men let alone an army of 100 million? 

Have you ever been anything more than cannon fodder in your entire life? 

In the Aurelius clan we don't even consider tier1 men as warriors, we call them farmers! 

Get the hell out of here before I accidentally kill you with my aura " Gambino said as he absolutely eviscerated Rudra. 

Rudra audibly chuckled as he closed his eyes, it had been a long time since anyone had talked down to him like this. 

He need not do much, a flick of his finger would have been enough to decapitate this fool, and if he was honest with himself, he absolutely felt like doing so would be worth blowing his cover away for. 

Yet, his better sense prevailed as opening his eyes he looked at the young vampire god and said " Boy, you think you can kill me with your weak aura? You're welcome to try " 

As these words left Rudra's mouth the temperature in the room fell by a few degrees as the tier6 god Gambino was visibly struggling to reign in his anger. 

The only reason he did not make a futile attempt at Rudra's life by now was because he was in the presence of King Regus Aurelius, and raising his aura in his presence would be disrespectful. 

" May I, my king? " Gambino asked Regus as he grit his teeth and spoke every word with great effort. 

Regus alternated his gaze between Gambino, Max and Rudra before shaking his head as he looked towards Max and said " Lord Ravan, are you sure this is the man who devised your war strategy? 

I can't deny commander Gambino's concern that as a tier1 warrior his experience in life might be lacking. 

It's hard to understand the sheer power of god's when you're a mortal. 

Such a gap in context could prove to be lethal when devising strategy " 

Max wanted to defend the old man, however, before he could say anything the old man defended his own pride. 

" With all due respect, Vampire Monarch, I do understand the power of god's, infact, I understand it so well that I can say with confidence that there is not a man in this room who has the strength to move my leg by a single inch if I plant it firmly in the ground " Rudra said as he folded his lower garment cloth from his right leg to reveal his old and wrinkled legs which he planted firmly in the ground. 

Gambino slapped his face listening to Rudra's words, he was convinced that the old man had gone senile, while Max felt like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. 

Max knew that the old man had a skill which allowed him to plant his feet firmly in the ground and he could still believe that the tier6 god's in the room might not be able to shake his leg since he himself failed, but there was no way a tier8 monarch like Regus could not. 

" My King, I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THE OLD MAN. This is an important council meeting and we don't have time for the ramblings of withered nobody's. 

I request you allow me to throw this old man out and put him in his place " Gambino said as he awaited Regus's instructions. 

Gambino was itching to teach the old man and by proxy Max a lesson about who the top voice was in this council, but he had absolutely no idea just who he was dealing with here today as he was bound for a reality check of a lifetime.

" Go on, if you can lift the old man's leg, by all means throw him out " Max said eventually as Regus looked at him with an amused expression as if he had not expected Max to say these words. 

" Lord Ravan, do you really think I can't lift a frail old man's leg? " Gambino asked as he walked towards where Rudra stood and squatted to hold his feet. 

" I'm going to throw you straight out of this room old man, hopefully I break enough of your bones for you to die " Gambino said as he gripped Rudra's right foot by his calf. 

Never in a million years had Gambino imagined that when he applied the first bit of force which should have been enough to throw the old man out of the room and through the brick wall outside that he would not be able to move the old man's leg at all. 

For some inexplicable reason, the old man's leg did not budge….
