Sebastian's eyes widened to the size of the grandest platters of the royal feasts as he first laid eyes on Hazriel. 1

If beauty were a currency, Hazriel would make the wealthiest lords and ladies of the universe look like they were begging in the streets.

She shone so brightly that even the twin suns of their world might've considered dimming their lights in humility. Her hair flowed like the mane of the first Pegasus, said to be made from the tears of enchanted nymphs and the dreams of ancient wizards.

Each feather of her wings seemed crafted from the silvery wisps of the rarest clouds, fluttering with the grace of a legion of sylphs dancing upon the morning breeze. 

Her eyes sparkled like the gemstones from the lost mines of Lorthalia, rumoured to have been touched by the essence of every celestial being.

Sebastian felt his heart race, thinking that even the rarest phenomenon, like a phoenix being born beneath a lunar eclipse, would pale in comparison to her. 

He had heard of love at first sight in the old tales, but this was more like being engulfed in the most powerful love spell that was gripping his heart and mind. 

" I like Max….. " Hazriel confessed straight away as she noticed the dreamy look on Sebastian's face as the drooling dwarf instantly swallowed back his spittle and regained the focus in his eyes. 

' Her bust is barely a C cup. It's meh ' 

'Her hair…. Ha, I prefer redheads anyway' 

' Her nails…. So long, if she buries them in my skin it'll hurt ' 

' Her expression, what even is she so disgusted at? Gloomy cat! ' 

Sebastian backtracked immediately as for him Max came first and he would never look dreamily towards his sister in law. 

Since his brother had already planted a flag on this soil first, it rightfully belonged to him. 

" Ahem, I'm here because Max sent me with an important message… " Sebastian said as he regained his focus on the task at hand and was no longer distracted by Hazriel's beauty. 

" Please speak, noble dwarf " Hazriel said as listening to her sweet sweet voice Sebastian had goosebumps all over his skin and was almost distracted. 

" T-that, uh, yes, Max is imprisoned by Regus, the reason is the stigma surrounding the primordial vampires in the vampire society but the fact of the matter is that he's not even technically a primordial vampire and his value to the light faction in this war is undeniable. 

So he's hoping that you would convince archangel Michael to put pressure on Regus for his release in the upcoming meeting " Sebastian said as he looked straight at the floor below to hide his blush and how flushed he looked. 

" I don't think brother would agree- " Hazriel said, but before she could even complete her sentence, Sebastian cut her off. 

" Max is going to become the future vampire monarch. That's a certain reality and not something that might happen or not happen. 

Shakuni is already the strongest fighter in the universe and I've seen him fight Lucifer with my own eyes. 

Nobody can stop him in battle and nobody is his equal. 

An alliance with Max, means an alliance with the future vampire king AND Rudra Rajput. 

If Micheal doesn't see the potential of that alliance, then I don't need to convince you or him anymore. 

I'm indeed here today to ask for help, but I'm not in a desperate need of it. 

With or without the angels, Max will walk out of his imprisonment. 

But then, he will know ….. I will know, exactly who our true friends are " Sebastian said as he stared Hazriel straight in her eyes and walked out of her room with confidence. 

If she really liked Max, the first words out of her mouth should not have been that ' Brother won't agree '. 

Like hell he wouldn't! 

If Micheal did not understand the true value of an ally like Max, he could very well do nothing, but then there would come a day when Max would be King and the Angels would need his cooperation and that day it would be Max's turn to decide if he wanted to help or not.

( Meanwhile Anna ) 

" MY SON IN LAW IS NOT DEAD, HAHAHAHAHA, I KNEW THAT BA**** COULDN'T DIE- " The elf king said as he smacked his commander tightly on his shoulder. 

For a few years since Rudra's absence, the Elf King had been regretting his decision of marrying his daughter to Rudra, but now that he was alive and more powerful than ever, he was beyond elated. 

" I wish I could have killed that despicable dark elf sovereign Elegast with my own hands, but unfortunately it was the Angels who got the privilege of making that kill. 

But, worry not, I will make the dark elves serve us for the next fifteen generations after this war. 

Every elf household will be assigned slaves and the right to unilaterally kill those slaves if needed. 

Make them work in the farms. 

Make them carry the load like mules- 

Make them wipe the floors of our houses and trim our gardens! 

They have harassed us for wayyy too long, it's time for us to clap back now- " The elf king said as the rowdy elves in the room cheered like madmen. 

This wasn't behaviour that suited light faction god's, but the idea of having absolute power over the victors got straight to the head of the winners. 

It was within this rowdy environment that Anna made her entry into the elf camp and immediately she became the centre of attention. 

" MY LOVELY DAUGHTER, HAHAHA, HOW LUCKY AM I, TO SEE YOU ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY? " The elf king shouted as Anna understood from his demeanour that the man was absolutely drunk. 

Considering the fact that it was next to impossible for god's to become this intoxicated, the elf king must have drunk a lot of the highest concentration of alcohol for this to happen. 

But him being drunk was an advantage for Anna as it made her request that much easier to put through his head.
