Following Jin Yang's instructions, the president's guard took out the food he carried with him. He distributed it to the three hungry children.1

Qiu Xingyuan and Qiu Xingqiao sat on the bench and ate their food. There was no hint of harshness or disdain on their stubborn and determined faces.

Jin Yang could tell that Qiu Tong had taught them well. If Little Yu couldn't finish her food, she would share it with her two brothers. Outside the camp, Jin Yang did not see Qiu Tong. He knew that she had probably discovered that the children were gone and was searching the mountains.

He placed Little Yu firmly on the ground and made an excuse that he needed to check the situation on the battlefield. "You must stay here obediently and wait for Mommy to return. You can't run around anymore, understand?"

"Where did you guys go?"

Qiu Tong repeated the question in a hoarse voice. Little Yu pointed at Jin Yang and said, "We've always been together with Uncle Song Yan."
