Clifford opened the back seat of the car for Ingrid then he went to the other side to sit with her. Without warning, Clifford stole a kiss on Ingrid's lips the moment he sat with her.2

"Thief!" Ingrid shriek in surprise.

"Oh wife, I can't wait to 'work on it' with you..." his crisp laugh echoed the car.

"Pervert!" Ingrid frowned.

Clifford could not stop laughing as he looks lovingly at his new wife, while the driver blushed at the sight of them with a cute smile formed on his lips.

They went to an over the hilltop restaurant which Clifford already arranged. The place seemed quiet and no trace of any people dining, but Ingrid could only notice that there are few luxury cars who are parking.

Clifford ushered them to the front door where they were greeted by the staffs.

Ingrid looked at the floor and was amazed to see a red carpet, white rose petals are strewn on it. Then the song A very special love in a bosa nova version is played the moment they steps on the red carpet.

Ingrid's head turned to Clifford who is already smiling sweetly to her.

"Cliff..." she called his name as if it is the sweetest name she knew. "....this is so splendid."

Clifford's heart swelled with joy and thankfulness because he's so blessed having this woman as his wife. She's easily moved with simple gestures and not with fancy or expensive things.

"I'm glad you like it..." he said as he squeezed her hand

They take their time walking on the red carpet as the song played and their hands are intertwined.

The love they have for each other is almost tangible that those who were looking at them secretly could not help it but sigh and desired that they, too, could experience moments like theirs.

The couple together with their son reached the end of the red carpet and out of the blue the door opens and they were being welcomed by confetti and were showered by rose petals with none other than Frank and Liane.

"Surprise! Congrats, sis!" the two women embraces each other. Ingrid could not speak.

Inside the hall are Ingrid's parents, John and Rose, along with Clifford's parents, Clint and Helen. They were eagerly waiting for their arrival. Near them are Rhona, her husband and Tristan.

Ingrid is very puzzled on what is happening. She drops a questioning gaze at Clifford who just grinned and pulled her to where their parents are.

They paid respect to both of their parents and sits at the center that is prepared especially for them. There were only thirteen people who were invited in that event which include the two kids and Gary.

Clifford then stands up and takes a glass of wine.

"First of all, I wanna thank you all for cooperating with me in preparing this very intimate wedding. I couldn't do it without you."

"Wait, you all knew except me? You all conspired to trick me?" Ingrid could not hold not to speak up regarding Clifford's speech, so she interrupted him.

All of them nodded, grinning.

"And we're present at your wedding, too." Liane added.

Ingrid's jaw drops. "Wh-what do you mean you're present? There's no one around in that place."

"Technically, we aren't there, but hidden cameras and photographers were set up beforehand. The moment you got out from the car, the ceremony till the groufie was all captured and was witnessed by us here. You see that monitor?" It was Helen who answered and pointed at the big screen monitor at the far end of the place.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world, darling." Ingrid's mother then spoke, touching her daughter's hands.

Her mother is teary eyed as she spoke.

"You look so lovely, my precious daughter." Her father, John, said admiring her, "...I remembered vividly how lovely your mother looked, too, when we got married."

Ingrid choked in her tears.

"I was never wrong in choosing you to be my daughter-in-law Ingrid. I just knew that you will be a wonderful wife, just like my son's mother." Clint butts in then he looked lovingly at Helen who is blushing as well.

"Please stop making my wife cry," Clifford jokingly said.

"You're so mean, Cliff!" Ingrid protested even if it's hard for her to speak because her throat sore as she holds her tears.

Clifford assisted her to stand up beside him and turned to her, lifting the glass of wine he holds, he said,

"To many surprises we will be making in the future my love... cheers!"

"Cheers! Cheers!" all of them said in chorus. And together they sip their wines.

Rhona then clinks her glass and yelled,

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" Clifford gladly granted their request and kisses his wife without restraint.

The women present sighed lovingly as they stared at the kissing couple, while the men pecked a kiss to their wives. They had a lovely time together.

They went home in convoy. The newlyweds went straight to Clifford's home. Tiredness engulfed them, that after they showered and changed clothes they fell asleep with Clark in the middle of their bed.
