"Ingrid, I trust you but we really need to put this into writing, just in case." John announced. "Also, further stipulations are welcome during the drafting of our agreement. Are we clear, Ingrid?"

"Crystal clear, sir."

Clifford believed that Ingrid got her strength of mind and feisty character from her father.

"So, when you should we get this done?" Clint asked.

"As soon as possible." John Howard announced.

"Why not now? Well, we are all here anyway, so why delay? The earlier we know the better. Because the more we prolong this, the more this will be agonizing for all of us and we all are busy, our competitors were just looking for our negligence and if this continues, our businesses will be greatly compromised." Clifford moved everyone to think.

Which in turn, they all pondered concerning Clifford's suggestion. They all nodded in agreement.

"Well, I agree with you, son. I will now make an appointment to that DNA Testing Center." Clint stood up took his phone and dialled the number and distance himself from the group.

Ingrid remembered the investigator mentioning about the culprit who stole the letter.

"Ah excuse me, Mr. Vladimir, you mentioned earlier that the culprit was held captive by you. Have you interrogated the man? Who instructed him to do it?"

"Yes we have interrogated him, however, he will not confess. Not matter he was badly beaten, he would not confess who's behind this because as he said that he doesn't know, he only said that someone just hired him but the person's face was not revealed."

"But how about the reason for doing so, have you asked him that?"

"Yes, I think he mention something like someone does not want you and young master Clifford to be married. But we did not believe it because we knew, I'm sorry to say this, that you are not a couple. But after hearing all your sides, I've seen three angles."

"And what would that be?" Ingrid asked curiously.

"First, it's business related, you may have business rivals before that you have offended. Second, love triangle to either Miss Ingrid or young master Clifford. And third, a combination of both."

Clifford and Ingrid's brows rose.

"Love triangle? Are you sure of that?" Clifford could not believe what he is hearing.

"Not so. But it's a possibility, because either the master mind was an ex lover who hasn't gotten over to one of you and wanted to hinder your future relationship if it proves that you have a son. Or someone who wanted to have either of you badly for themselves."

"So you mean to say, that person knows everything?" Ingrid's eyes grow bigger.

"There is a possibility to that. So, my advice is that you think of your entire ex lovers or someone who is somewhat obsessed to get you."

"I only have one or two ex boyfriends. But the first one was, oh never mind. So it's never me. And I think it's more on the business rival."

Ingrid thought about her recent ex boyfriend, he seems mysterious but she could not think of any suspicious deeds when they were still dating. So she just shrugs that possibility.

"Hmmm.." Clifford touches his chin.

"The team of DNA experts will be here later this evening. They will get the buccal swabs from Clifford, Ingrid and Clark." Clint suddenly interrupted their conversation.

John Howard nodded. "Okay, then, that is way much better! Ingrid, go to your son and talk to him. Also, tell your mom to be here, we have something to talk to."

"You, too, son. You go and tell your mother to come here. We have a lot to talk about. Mr. Vladimir, please stay, I have further instructions to you." Clint Briggs called for the butler through an intercom to prepare the lunch.

Ingrid and Clifford stood up at the same time and bid goodbye to them. On their way to the garden, no one spoke any word. The confrontation earlier left her speechless, she could not believe that she made an agreement with her father that is binding that could never be revoked.
