It was early dawn that Ingrid woke up and hurriedly went to the twin's room and checked them. They are accompanied by the two nannies since she could not do it alone for now. She smiled upon seeing them awake, moving their hands and feet. When they felt that someone is looking at them, they started to burst crying.0

She smiled hearing their cries.

Avyanna cries louder, so Ingrid carried her first into her arms. Upon feeling her mother's presence she stopped crying. Then Edric cried once more, this time much louder. Ingrid wanted to hold them both, however, she could not. She felt helpless.

Right there and then, someone kissed her forehead from behind and went to Edric's side, and carried him to his arms. It was Clifford. Edric suddenly stopped crying and looked at his father as though he could already see him. Clifford chuckled upon looking over his son.

"Thank God, you are here, love…" Ingrid said.

"I will always be here, love. I just woke up when I felt that you are no longer by my side and I immediately went looking for you. My fear of losing you stirred when waking up. I could not lose you again. No, not anymore. It will be the end of me."

"I won't. I promise you that." She smiled and then she kissed him on lips.

Then the twins cried again, their gaze fell on them and they both smiled, embracing each other side ways. Clifford reached out for their milk bottle, and fed the twins.

They sat down beside each other and silently stared at their children. It was in these moments that Clifford felt so at peace. At last, he could now experience looking after their infant children. Feeding them, changing their clothes and diapers, bathing them.

He could not imagine himself if he married someone else other than Ingrid, she is the woman who fitted him. Her strengths complemented his weaknesses. He saw how strong she is, fighting for her life, for them, for him. His strong desire to capture the culprit, grew each day.

Knowing that the culprit could still freely do to harm his family. He won't be forgiving this time.

Clifford had secret meetings with the private investigators and they are planning on how to capture the mastermind and its underlings. They all know that they are close to them.

"Master Clifford, we have made a graph about you and the madam. We have been tracing every activity you both did for the last five years before you met each other, personally, up until now. There were no significant trace or evidence about your both pasts however, this drastically changed when you started seeing each other. Here look at this…" Griffith showed him the large document.

His brows creased when he noticed the delicate details in every scenario. It started with…

"Maya Holmes? The reporter who harassed Ingrid when we came from Maldives?" he inquired.

"Yes, Master Clifford, that woman. She was paid by the 'mastermind' to create havoc. And well, she has this thing for you which unfortunately, the enemy knows of and used her to his or… her advantage." Vladimir answered.

His gaze then went to the second incident.

"Even those who brought the DNA result?" he is surprise. "What the heck do they want?" then he continued to read and analyze the information presented to him.

"Clark's kidnapping incident? Our first car accident after the interview? The Mall incident simultaneously done to harm my wife???" his voice thundered in anger.

"We have traced one of the kidnappers, sir…" and Griffith and his comrades look at each other before he continued speaking while Clifford intently listened.

"The mastermind has nowhere to go since the target is at your watch and he has no choice but to do that…" Vladimir pointed at their plan.

"How can we lure him to come to us?"

"Good question! To do achieve that this is what we are planning to do…"

Ingrid went to her dad because she miss him so much. She wanted to spend quality time with him since the twins are in the care of their two grandmothers, while Clifford and his dad spent time with Clark. She saw him sitting with a joyful smile while watching his first grandson play.

"Daddy…" John Howard tore off his gaze from them and then look at her misty eyed.

"Yes, dear?" she reached out her hands to touch his face and kiss him on his cheeks.

"I miss you so much, daddy…" she started to cry. Her daddy then embraced her and she felt the longing in the way his daddy embraced her. It brought her to the time when she was little, her daddy would always embrace her without reason and every time he sensed when she was down and weary. He would just embrace her without any word left said and it's enough for her to know that he is just around.

"Oh, honey, hush now… I miss you more than you could ever think. I can still can feel you even if you don't say anything. You are still my precious little daughter after all. You have been through a lot, dear, so please, let your husband take over. Rest if you must. These things happened for a reason and that reason will be revealed soon."

"Oh, Daddy!"

With those words said is enough for her. She must let go the control. She, then, looked at her husband who was already staring at her while pushing his son on the swing.

There is so much love in his eyes. His stares speak of yearning.

"Daughter, I could now rest peacefully, knowing that your husband loves you and your children so much. He is willing to sacrifice even his business just to be with you. He is a good father. That is why, if he is up to the challenge, I decided to give up the company and give it to him, if he will accept it. That husband of yours can do wonders, in ways he only know.
