Fei Xian's Strength

The emperor merely looked at him before turning his attention back to the arena where Rou'er still stood. 

"Oh, is she planning on fighting until she loses?" he suddenly said. 

Everyone else soon realized it as well, seeing as the young girl stood there with her sword out. Although the fight with Bi Yu was straining, she seemed determined to prove herself. 

"Is there anyone else that wishes to challenge the Eternal Blade Sect?!" she shouted. 

Looking around her, it seemed that no one wanted to step forward. Perhaps it was because they knew she was still tired from the last fight. Or maybe they didn't want to be embarrassed if they lose.

But seeing no one come forward, Rou'er put her sword away and stepped off. 

The tension was still high and the arena was now empty. 

Who was going to step up?

It didn't take long for someone to come and challenge another. One battle after another, each one was just as exciting as the last. And for Ming Yue, it proved to be a valuable experience. 

"So many different techniques and styles, I never knew such things existed."

She was in awe of these fights. They may not be at her level but their diversity was astonishing to her. After all, she didn't quite get to explore the vastness of her own home, much less the continent. Before she even realized it, the cultivator was captivated by the matches. 

It was much different from Heaven's Gate. These little sects were unique, carrying within themselves things that could not be imitated. 

Just like the Eonic Stance. 

Soon enough the day ended after a hundred matches and everyone soon dispersed, enjoying a bustling night market. 

And Ming Yue silently left, returning to the Peeking Crow's Inn after a quick stroll through the market. 

"After today, there's going to be two more days for this tournament. There are definitely going to be more people tomorrow."

Thinking this made her feel excited to watch. 

As predicted, the following day was busier than before. The coliseum was packed to the brim this time. Every one of them was squeezed in and by the looks of it, more seats had been added. Outside of the common folk, there were many more experts watching as well. 

"Mm, they're just meshing in with the others but there's definitely a few nearing the Sky Realm."

As the one sitting at the top of the coliseum, Ming Yue saw everything and she could see through those that were hiding within the crowds. She narrowed her eyes, checking to see if any of them were suspicious. 

She soon relaxed her gaze, turning her attention towards the arena. 

"Mm, seems like I don't have to worry about anything." 

The day played out quite swimmingly.

Now that everyone had familiarized themselves with the rules, they were much more comfortable. The fighting grew in intensity with a few hidden powerhouses finally making their appearance. 

One of them was Fei Xian, who stepped up to meet the challenge of another. 

Standing there with a spear in their hands, she was a young woman dressed in green. Her hair was tied up in a bun and she carried herself in a tough manner. Her eyes were sharp and intense, a glare that could make people freeze. 

"Hm, they're both at a decent level, just barely reaching the Perception Stage."

Ming Yue watched with interest.

After a few years, she was curious as to how strong he was now. Especially after his time in the Demon Continent, there was no doubt that he had much to gain there. 

Standing in front of each other, they shared a look before Fei Xian's opponent spun her spear with both hands and took a stance. Holding it with a wide grip, she lowered herself, putting one leg forward and the other one back. 

"Fei Xian! We'll see who wins this time!" she shouted before leaping forward. 

Twisting her spear, her entire body twirled at a rapid pace. She flew towards him as the wind picked up, wrapping her in a twister. 

Met with this attack, Fei Xian took his sword out, leaping up to avoid the attack. But it wasn't going to be that easy. The spear suddenly turned up, following him before it slowed and stopped. 

With both of them in the air, his opponent swiftly swung her spear, aiming to cut at his chest. But he met her blow for blow and knocked the spear away!

He charged forward, swinging his sword down. 

Clenching her teeth, she put her spear up, blocking the attack but the force knocked her back down to the ground. But she landed on her feet watching him descend to the ground. 

The moment his feet touched the ground, she stepped forward, thrusting her spear in quick succession. In fact, they were so quick that there were afterimages left behind. It looked as if five spears were striking him at once. 

But unlike her, Fei Xian was neither fast nor slow, moving in a calm and controlled manner. His sword waved around, blocking all five strikes. But he didn't stop there. 

His sword continued to flow, following the Eonic Stance. With the distance between them close

The momentum that she tried so hard to get was now gone and he had taken control. 

"This is... Elder Fei's Taiji Dao..."

Though she had only seen it a few times, Ming Yue recognized it. After all, such a practice was rare and even more so difficult. 

To be able to comprehend Duality and Balance, she could see it in his swordsmanship. 

Every move that his opponent made was used against them, from reversing the power of each attack to matching their every step. With the Eonic Stance involved, it only served to benefit from this. 

No matter what they did, Fei Xian always seemed to have a counter ready, prepared for any move. It was as if he already knew what they were thinking of.

Looking at him now, Ming Yue knew that he had reached a level nearing that of Elder Fei at his peak. As strong as he was, his opponent was no pushover. She fought hard and her mastery of the spear was on par with his sword. 

But the deciding factor was the synergy of their skills. 

She just couldn't keep up with the Eonic Stance and the Taiji Dao. There were only so many moves she could think of while he had thousands of choices. 

Their weapons clashed once more and he struck it out of her hand, letting the spear land on the ground with a clang. And then he pointed it right to her neck. 

"That was a good fight."

With the match at its conclusion, he pulled his sword back before grabbing her spear, and handing it back to her. There was a smile on his face as he looked at her. 

"Even though it hasn't been long since we fought together in the Demon Continent, you've definitely gotten stronger", he told her. 

Her eyes widened with a stunned look. Her face quickly turned red as she spun around and left in a huff. 

"Wha- you- arghh, it's still my loss! Just you wait! I'll be better than you sooner or later!" she shouted, waving her spear around wildly. 

Fei Xian only looked at her confused before shrugging and leaving the stage where Qi Yao waited for him. There was a smile on her face though, something about it seemed more ominous than pleasant. 

The others looked at him, chuckling or shaking their heads. 

As strong as he was, he was certainly quite oblivious. 

"Mm, good for him."

Ming Yue looked at them, letting out a smile as she watched the happy scene. 

But the smile suddenly vanished as she looked out of the arena. 

A wolf's howl cut through the chatting and silence fell upon everyone. 1
