Ming Yue still felt embarrassed, shaking her head at his words. 2

"Please, it wasn't much." 

It was then that his wife, Xing Huang, smiled. 

"Ah, you do not have to be so humble and you can speak to us casually. Neither of us are speaking to you as king and queen but as parents. From the bottom of our hearts, we should be thanking you for aiding our children during the Initiation."

The young cultivator looked at the two, seeing their earnest smiles. In the end, she relented. 

"I... alright then."

Xing Huang clasped her hands together, before grabbing a pair of chopsticks. 

"Now then, we shouldn't be wasting any more time, you must be famished! Eat as much as you want, we have plenty of dishes waiting to be brought out!"

Ming Yue looked down seeing a large bowl of rice

She grabbed the chopsticks and looked at the options before her. Having spent all of that time fighting those Frostflame Bears, the young woman definitely had an appetite. Her mouth watered just a bit as she looked down, seeing both Xiao Ying and Hei Yue scarfing down a slab of roasted meat. 

"I won't hold back then."

After saying so, she went off into a bit of a frenzy, tasting everything. And the others did the same, stuffing their mouths with food and drink.

Everything, she had was delicious but also hearty.

Various roasted animals from poultry to pork, flavorful stews filled with meat and vegetables, dumplings; both fried and steamed, and the centerpiece was a slab of meat, no doubt coming from a Frostflame Bear. 

Drinks varied from different wines which were sweet and fruity to the palate to tea and fermented milk.*

Ming Yue relished in the taste but also the warmth coming from this food. If one was to survive in such cold environments, they'd have to eat something like this. 

She glanced at the others, seeing them eat without reservations. 

Though the Xing Clan were royalty, they were warriors first, eating their hearts away was better than restraining oneself for the sake of image. 

Soon enough, things began to calm down as their eating slowed to a casual pace. 

Xing Hou looked at Ming Yue, her face seemed somewhat strained as if wanting to say something. Part of her didn't want to interrupt the meal but her curiosity got to the best of her. 

"How did you do it?" she asked, "How did you kill the Frostflame Bear King?"

The girl's voice wasn't very loud but it was loud enough for everyone else to hear. The room grew much more quieter, going from leisurely conversations to quiet whispers. 

Just as her father was about to say something, their grandfather, Xing Pangde, put a hand out to stop him. He then leaned forward with interest. 

"I'd actually like to know. We don't get many cultivators around here, especially not someone like you. The famed Fairy of the Moon, a beauty whose kindness is equal to her expertise. I'm curious to see if the stories about you are true. The blood on your hands is innumerable but it is outweighed by the lives you've saved. And the sacrifices you chose to make are both noble and honorable. Truly, I'd like to know how you killed a beast like the Frostflame Bear King, a creature whom I and many others were prepared to lay our life down for." 

Ming Yue felt a wave of embarrassment from his words but she did not decline. She then gestured towards the two beasts, who were gnawing away at the bone on their plates. 

"It was difficult, incredibly so. And it commanded many others to chase me, to tire me out. If it weren't for these two, I would've been surrounded. And, I held nothing back, killing as quickly as I could, striking whenever I had the opportunity."

"I used up whatever energy remained in my body for one attack. It wasn't enough to kill the bears but it knocked them out unconscious. The Frostflame Bear King was the last one standing. In the end, I was near death when I slayed it. Its breath was deadly, one touch would've destroyed my body..."

As she told the story, everyone had their ears open, listening carefully to her words. By the end of it, they were all stunned. 

Warriors like Dugu Qian couldn't believe what she was saying. The whispers grew more numerous and they shared thoughts and opinions. 

"She killed it like that? A normal Frostflame Bear's pelt is tough to break, defeating one requires at least a trap."

"Maybe so but some of us can overpower one with pure strength, it is not impossible for her to be able to cut through the pelt."

"She is a cultivator after all, their methods are different from ours as body cultivators."

"Don't forget, we're talking about a Frostflame Bear but she dealt with a Frostflame Bear King. Can any of us confidently say we can overpower a Frostflame Bear King one to one?"

None of them thought less of her, rather they analyzed the details, trying to figure out just how she had done it.

"Perhaps its her equipment, those swords are not ordinary."

"Hmm, that is true. Nevertheless, her battle prowess must be extraordinary."

Slowly but surely a gleam in their eyes began to shine. Ming Yue noticed this before hearing a chuckle coming not from Xing Pangde but from Xing Huang. 

"Oh, how energetic they are, they seem to want a match with you."

Ming Yue looked at the tall woman before looking back at them. 

"If they'd like to, I will accept", she replied. 

The mother looked at her with a smile. It was a pleasant one though Ming Yue couldn't help but think that it was less happy and more mischievous. 

And then, she watched as Xing Huang raised her hand and pointed at herself. 

"So, you wouldn't deny me a spar, would you?" 

If the room wasn't quiet already, now it was completely silent. 

"The Godfist? A spar with the Godfist?"

"Did she really just offer that?"

"Is the other one going to accept? Mm, but the outcome... won't the Godfist win in the end?"

"Maybe so but when we all fought her, she limited her strength to our level. We were all given a fair fight."

"Mm, perhaps that girl is a far better fighter."

Ming Yue heard what the others said, looking at Xing Huang with a somewhat stunned look. And the tall, muscular woman just had this innocent smile on her face. 

"When I was younger before I met my dear husband, I was quite an energetic girl. I didn't really enjoy being inside and my father obliged my wishes. He taught me many things, how to fight and how to hunt, things like discipline and strategy." 

As she said this, Xing Pangde just smiled quietly. 

"I was his best student and a few years along the line, I managed to best him in a fight with these fists of mine."

She raised her fists to show. 

"You probably are familiar with it but these two children practice the Daystar Manual. It's a very fitting style that caters to their strengths. I also learned from it as well but I strayed from it to create my own way of fighting. But to do that, I needed to gain more experience, I needed to fight more. And so, when I embarked on my Ten-Years, I challenged every fighter who fought with their fists.

For ten years, I tried to create my own style and at the end of those ten years, I did it. Years after that, I perfected it. I started to win every battle with my own two hands and soon enough, I became known as the Godfist. Hence I called this creation of mine the Godfist Style. No one else could replicate it, none of them could even attempt to learn it. That was how unique it was."

She took a moment to breathe before looking at Ming Yue. 

"So then, what do you say?"
