The Aftermath, Part Three
Neve had been glad she made this purchase all day.
First, because of the smile it had put on Erin's face when she saw it.
And now, because the bed she was getting eaten out on was so damn comfortable.
In luxurious chambers fit for a lord, Neve lay in a bed atop silk, red sheets, her legs spread as Charlotte dove between them while fireworks popped outside, beyond the open window.
Neve couldn't see the spectacle, though, as she had her eyes closed, immersed in the feeling of the journalist's tongue dragging itself up and down her clit.
It had felt like Charlotte had been looking forward to this for a while, and her performance did not disappoint.
"Oh, fuck," Neve let out a breathy sound as she placed her legs behind the lady's back, pulling her in deeper. Neve's hands buried themselves in her pink hair while she in turn kept her eyes on Neve to measure her reaction.
The celebratory act lasted for a while. An hour had already passed and, at this point, Charlotte pulled away, asking:
"You sure don't cum easily," she said with a giggle. "I'm beginning to wonder if I've gotten rusty."
Taking a moment to breathe, Neve pushed herself up on the bed.
"It's probably not that. Just, uh... Maybe it's my Endurance."
[Would it really even affect this sort of thing? I hope not.]
"How much is it?"
"90."
Charlotte whistled.
"We may last longer together than the fireworks, then..."
[Hm,] Neve thought. [In that case...]
Neve leaned forward, taking Charlotte by her wrists. Gently, she tugged on them and the woman got the message, moving up Neve's body. Neve then reached down and wrapped her hands around the back of Charlotte's legs, to keep her moving up.
Eventually, Charlotte's legs ended up folded beside Neve's head, with her pussy hovering just a couple of inches over Neve's mouth. Graciously, she lowered herself and let out a relieved breath as her lower lips hit Neve's tongue.
Neve, in turn, squeezed her ass, holding onto her cheeks to keep herself centered as she put her own tongue to work.
[90 Endurance isn't really working in my favor tonight... But, maybe my 70 Speed will be a different story.]
On that note, Neve started lapping away at her. Softly, tentatively, she drew some teasing circles around Charlotte's clit, trying to build up her anticipation.
Even now, Neve's plan was to put Erin's lessons to use.
"Ahh, don't take too long... Je veux jouir."
Neve had no clue what that French phrase meant, but she understood that Charlotte was eager for her to pick up the pace.
Which is precisely why she refused to do that.
The sounds of low pleasure coming from Charlotte's mouth slowly grew into frustrated whines as a minute passed of Neve doing nothing but torturing her down there, keeping her sapphire eyes locked with hers just like Charlotte had done previously.
It was only when she felt like there was a chance Charlotte would outright get up and walk to the nearest bathroom to finish elsewhere that Neve started going faster. Charlotte immediately made her appreciation known.
Holding Neve by her ponytail, Charlotte moaned loudly, her voice nearly drowned out by the remnants of the fireworks outside.
Before she could get used to this new pace, Neve went even faster.
"MM!" Charlotte moaned with her mouth closed, likely biting down on her cheeks as Neve felt the hold on her head tighten.
The journalist ground on Neve's tongue, pushing her hips back and forth.
The ride she was on grew even more intense as Neve pushed her tongue to move even faster.
In doing so, however, she fucked up, as she'd meant to keep ramping up the speed over time, but Charlotte cracked the instant Neve went into the next gear.
"AHH!" She cried out. Neve could feel her muscles twitching as the orgasm pulsed through her.
Almost as if on cue, the fireworks outside burst. Light flashed in various colors, pouring in from the windows and illuminating Charlotte's gorgeous, naked body as she came over Neve's face. The last flash cast her body in red as she grinned down at the woman who'd just made her cum.
"Agh..." Charlotte got off Neve's face and laid down beside her, throwing a leg over Neve's body. "That might have been one of the best orgasms I ever had."
"Might have?"
"I can't praise you that much on the first night..."
Neve sighed.
"That's fine. I'm used to uphill battles."
With a low cackle, Charlotte pressed an appreciative kiss against Neve's cheek. Then, she paused. A little hesitantly, she said:
"May I ask something?"
"Shoot."
"That woman you were hanging around with... the half-snake lady. Did she not make it out of the portal with you? I hope nothing bad happened to her. You seemed like good friends."
Neve, even as dense as she was, caught on.
[Is this your way of trying to find out if there's competition?]
"Nah, she's fine. She's here, actually."
Charlotte blinked.
"What?"
"Yeah, she's outside," Neve pointed out the open window. "Reading."
[I hope the fireworks didn't freak her out too much. If her people don't have any type of equivalent to it, then, she might have thought it was a declaration of war or something.]
"O-Outside!?"
Charlotte stood up and walked out to the window.
She recoiled almost immediately, heading right back to the bed with a dramatic look on her face.
"She heard all of that?"
"Maybe," Neve replied, staring up at the ceiling with her hands behind her head. "She doesn't really mind, though."
[Well... Not too much, anyway.]
Charlotte looked rather embarrassed. That particular veil over her face faded away, though, giving way to something more... cautious.
"I, ehm... I'm not going to have to fight her on my way out of here, am I?"
"Heh, no," Neve shook her head. "We're in an open relationship." 1
Suddenly, a mix of both relief and disappointment appeared in Charlotte's expression.
"Heh, well," Charlotte said, as she stood up and, quite a bit more confidently, walked over to that window. "Learning about 'the other woman' this early on is actually a refreshing change of pace for me."
"... My bad," Neve said, sitting up on the bed. "Probably should have told you earlier."
"Indeed," Charlotte replied, walking over to Neve. She straddled her and said, softly, "but, as long as that lady with the long claws won't be taking my head off, I think we can make this work." She grinned. "That performance was too good for me to throw it away on account of this inconvenience."
"And here I thought you weren't going to praise me?"
"Hehe, my mistake," Charlotte whispered before pushing Neve down.
The fireworks outside, still clapping in the sky, said the same thing Charlotte was suggesting now.
The night wasn't over yet.
---
"Fill this out... And this... And this."
The next day, Neve was handed a small stack of papers by a lady in a neat little office that almost looked too clean. Her hands shook as she passed them to Neve, and she did not dare to meet Neve's eyes when the healer looked up at her.
[... You'll have to get used to this. Having a reputation as some larger-than-life figure helps... Even if it's annoying,] Neve reminded herself as she took them gratefully and began to fill out the designated sections.
The lady adjusted her glasses, perhaps realizing how nervous she appeared and trying to assume a more normal exterior.
It did not work, as she dropped the papers when Neve handed them back.
"T-Thank you, Miss Stephens. Um, congratulations, ma'am!"
"Thank you. Have a nice day."
Neve was only 19 and she was being treated like some old queen. She didn't like it.
With that out of the way, however, Neve's plan was fully set in motion.
She took her phone out of her Inventory and dialed Charlotte's number.
"It's done?" The journalist asked as soon as she picked up the call.
"Yep," Neve replied. "Go ahead and make the announcement."
"D'accord," Charlotte replied. Neve waited a couple of seconds. "Done. Breaking news! The Pillars of Unity are officially Starlight City's newest guild!"
Neve smiled a bit. It did feel somewhat surreal to hear that.
"You should get yourself a guild hall soon," Charlotte advised. "I imagine your notifications are probably going to be filled with nothing but Support-class players wanting to join."
Not just that, but all of them would be looking at Neve for something she'd scarcely had throughout her journey.
Guidance.
"Well," Neve said, "maybe we can keep them distracted with something else in the meantime."
"Such as?"
"Eh, I dunno... Maybe a guide on how to clear The Final Challenge made by yours truly?" Neve asked with a smirk.
"If such a thing existed, I'm afraid I might drop this call right now to go read it. Alas, it does not. Unless...?"
"It does now. Check my profile. Feel free to call back when you're done," Neve replied.
"Very well."
Neve hung up.
Predictably, the trending topics on Neve's timeline became a mix of both the announcement of her guild's official creation and the sudden release of this guide Neve had been working on every night that she was in the Final Challenge, in between fights and training sessions.
[That should give me some time to find a nice place... But,] Neve sighed, [what's really going to be hard is finding the right people. After all, I can't participate again. Shit.]
Neve walked out of that office and soon emerged out onto the early morning streets of Starlight. True to its name, the city glowed so brightly Neve's eyes were nearly burned.
[Oh well... All I can do is try.] Neve thought. [Who knows? Maybe the right people will come along. Maybe.]
