"Restrictions?" Feng Tianlan looked at him quizzically. When had she ever enforced any restrictions, and what sort?1

Tu Xiang furiously slammed both palms on the stone table and glared at her. "Nobody out there will sell us anything now. Do you dare deny that it was you who did this?"

Even though he was technically still living in Feng Manor, the four of them had been forced to stay in the rundown courtyard where Feng Tianlan used to live. There were only four rooms and very little space. They weren't given any maids or staff, and their food was the same as the servants'. Eventually, they even stopped receiving any food.

For the sake of resuming his plot to take over the Fengs, he endured this. He was okay with buying his servants and cooking his meals. Even if he couldn't use the family money, his savings were sufficient to live on.

All this, he could bear!

But today, the servant who had gone out to buy groceries had come back emptyhanded because all the merchants had refused to sell him anything. They'd refused even to sell him one leaf!

The merchants had said that they refused to sell to him because of Feng Tianlan. As long as a person had anything to do with Tu Xiang, except for Feng Tianlan herself, the merchants weren't going to sell that person anything.

"Refused to sell you anything?" Feng Tianlan raised an eyebrow. She didn't know anything about this. Could it be her uncle's doing?

"Don't pretend that you don't know. Go and tell those people that we are a very close father and daughter pair and that we get along well. Whatever I'm buying is for Feng Manor," Tu Xiang commanded Feng Tianlan in an authoritative voice.

Feng Tianlan was behind all of this – she definitely was!

Feng Tianlan wiped her mouth and straightened her clothes. "Chuling, it's time for us to go to the Academy."

"Feng Tianlan, did you hear what I said?!" Tu Xiang was so angry that he roared at her. How could she ignore him? He was her father, after all.

"I heard you," replied Feng Tianlan calmly.

"Then hurry up and get it done! Send instructions to remove Feng Qingling as the head of the household and let me be the head. Move our family out of that rundown courtyard. Oh, and return the storeroom keys to me because I need my money to buy stuff. And get rid of those guards in the study. That's my study, after all…"

Tu Xiang rambled off a whole list of demands, but before he could finish, Feng Tianlan was already making her way to the courtyard's entrance. He immediately blocked her way and shouted, "Do everything I've said NOW! RIGHT NOW! Don't delay!"

"Father, I have a way to make you the Feng Clan Head again. Do you want to hear it?" Feng Tianlan looked up at Tu Xiang with a faint smile on her face.

When he heard this, Tu Xiang's eyes lit up, and he was suddenly alert. "Yes, I want to hear it. Tell me, and I'll do it, as long as it's within my means."

He'd suffered enough for the past few months in Feng Manor. The Feng Clan was his, and he wasn't going to let it fall into anyone else's hands!

"Go back to your room, lie on your bed, and just close your eyes." Feng Tianlan smiled happily, then walked past him and went out with Chuling.

"I'll do it right now. I'll go do it right now." Tu Xiang excitedly nodded, then headed back to the rundown courtyard repeating Feng Tianlan's words. "Go back to my room, lie on the bed, and close my eyes."

As long as he did that, he would be the Feng Clan Head, and the Feng Clan would be his again!

But as he continued repeating her words, Tu Xiang's eyes suddenly reddened as he roared murderously at the sky, "FENG TIANLAN!"

Feng Tianlan was mocking him! That so-called 'method' was her way of telling him to go home and dream about becoming the Feng Clan Head. At the same time, she was saying to him: So you want to be Feng Clan Head? Dream on!
