'Resting' For A Day

1Bai Qinghao lifted her up into a bridal carry and headed for the en-suite bathroom. "I'm taking you to the washroom."

She embraced his neck by reflex and tightened her grasp to stabilise her figure.

As she leaned in his arms to watch his handsome features, she felt deeply touched once again.

How did he know that she wanted a shower? Considering his intelligence, it made sense that he would guess it.

Bai Qinghao shifted his arms to feel her weight. She was far too light. It was as though he was holding a feather. "Fang Xinxin, I'm telling you, you're absolutely not allowed to lose any more weight!"

"I won't." She was 1.67 metres tall and she only weighed slightly more than 45 kilograms.

Right now, her waist was thin and the areas that needed to be big were big. Her figure leaned on the thin side and everything was just right.

If she lost any more weight, it would be really a bit much.

He nodded in satisfaction before shifting the weight to hold her with one arm. He then reached out to turn on the shower with his other hand. He made sure to adjust the water to a suitable temperature.

The moment he placed her down, her legs weakened and she slid down against him.

He rushed to hold her up and lifted her up back in his arms. "You're so useless. You can't even stand properly…"

"Who asked you to go so far!" She glared at him.

The corner of his lips twitched upward as he asked softly. "Are you satisfied with your future husband?"

"I'm too satisfied." She was sincere and felt that he surpassed her expectations to the point where she could barely keep up.

He then directed the shower head at her.

As the warm warm landed on her, she sighed comfortably.

He held her with one arm and rubbed the shower gel against her body with the other. "Fang Xinxin, I've never helped another woman shower. You don't know how lucky you are."

"I've also never been served by a man before." She harrumphed. "You're receiving a serious privilege right now."

His expression was filled with possessiveness. "Whoever dares to touch you must be sick of living!"

"You're the only person who would dare to." She rested comfortably as bubbles formed against her skin. Both her body and heart were really warm.

All of a sudden, she noticed his movements turning stiff and heavy.

She lifted her head to see that his gaze had turned heated again.

A sense of threat immediately crept up. She quickly said, "Bai Qinghao, you can't do as you please again!"

She really did not know if he was made of steel. Didn't he feel tired?

A hint of doting appeared on his frigid features. He tapped her sharp nose and spoke as though he was granting her a serious boon. "Rest well for a day. I'll eat you afterwards!"

"Just a day?" She was dumbstruck.

She immediately began negotiating. "I need at least a week!"

"Half a day," his voice was husky but firm.

"Three days." She lifted three of her fingers.

His expression was cold. Although his heart was filled with heartache for her, when it came to 'doting' on her, he refused to budge. "No one has ever succeeded in negotiating with me. If you say anymore, I'll take you right now!"

She truly had no more tears left to cry. She could only give in. "Alright, alright. One day, then."

At most, after a day, she would tell him that her great-aunt was here again?

She peeked at his cold and heavy expression. It wasn't easy provoking and teasing this man.

If she truly lied to him, she was certain that he would swallow her up alive.

From another perspective, it seemed like it was absolutely impossible to refuse him.

It was already quite a good deal getting one day to rest.

Bai Qinghao wanted to lengthen the shower time. Although he couldn't eat her up right now, the sight of her was nourishing for his eyes.

However, he was worried that she would be too tired. He kept a normal pace and helped her to wash away the soap on her skin.
