Information: Ruins
Within a dark place where the sun's light had never reached before. An empty room with eight pillars can be seen, only the dim light from three-seven torches shed light upon the darkness.2
A young man is currently kneeling on the ground on all fours, his head knocked on the ground as he begged: "Please forgive me, I only need one more chance to prove myself!"
"One more! There was just a person that disrupted my plans, it would've definitely succeeded if not for him!"
Of course, this is none other than Solar Son, his failure at their plan is a blunder, especially after he had received so many benefits from them... them?
The torches flickered slightly, the silhouette of a lady sitting on a throne was seen, her blood-red eyes glowed fiercely.
Solar Son didn't even need to look as he felt the chilling gaze of the lady: "Please, just one more chance, I'll definitely do better this time!"
"One more chance..." The lady spoke coldly, her blood-red eyes looking down upon Solar Son: "Do you know how many people I've given those chances for?"
Solar Son shivered as he tremblingly answered: "T-that... t-there is n-n-none!"
"Hmmp." The lady snorts as a cold fog started to appear on the ground: "It's good that you know, because, in that way, I can say that all of my underlings are competent, unlike you."
"Please, just one more chance, I know I've erred, but I'll definitely make it up, there is an event in six month's time, I can definitely redeem myself then!"Solar Son begged as tears flowed down from his eyes.
As he spoke those words, the fog from the ground recedes: "An event? Clarify."
"Yes!" Solar Son felt the coldness vanish before him, making him heave a sigh of relief, he then started to explain: "There will be a competition, all of the prominent younger generation experts will meet there to fight for the event."
"And where is this event going to be held?"
"Th-the Tayuan Mountain, there was an information guild that managed to find a ruin, it's said that only a hundred experts will be able to enter." Solar Son explained again.
The information guild is those people that look for ruins, rare herbs, and other important places or materials, also, they sell information to all the powerhouses of the continent. If they are to only sell the information to one, they risk being destroyed or killed to be silenced by that power, to not let the information reach the other powers.
As soon as they found the ruin, they had scholars look into all of the information about it before selling it to all of the factions.
"And this ruin is?" The lady asked.
Solar Son immediately replied: "It's said to have been a piece of space owned by an 10-star Alchemy Emperor, to add on to that, the one that used to live there is at least a Divine King ranked expert, and just from the lush greens outside the ruins, it can be said to have many rare kinds of herbs."
"If one is to also a divine ranked expert, it may hold cultivation manuals of that expert, not only that, even treasures, weapons, armors, pills, and even teachings!"
The lady pondered for a bit: "And why do you think I should spare you for that?"
Solar Son trembled: "I-I have a plan!"
"Speak!" The lady spoke, her eyes piercing daggers at Solar Son.
The latter didn't hesitate as he replied immediately: "There was a gathering a few days ago, it's to-"
Before he could finish his words, the lady spoke: "I know that. I was there."
Solar Son's eyes trembled, he continued: "Due to that event, the four powers suffered a tremendous blow to their wealth."
"And with the ruins insight, it's said that only a hundred individuals can enter."
"But with all powers eyeing the prize, they are bound to not be content with just splitting the ruins, one must get the higher stakes!"
"If-if something were to happen with the selection, it'll definitely start something, right?" As he asked, his eyes gazed upon the lady's feet, which's as high as his eyes are allowed to look at.
The lady pondered for a bit: "True that, I guess I can still use you."
"But because of you, I've lost a subordinate of mine, your failure can be mitigated by this plan of yours, but what about the life of my subordinate?"
Solar Son trembled: "I-I will listen to the lord's words."
The lady smirked: "I'll pardon you for now, as for the punishment, I'll think of something you can pay it for later."
"If you are to be able to do something that can outweigh the life of my subordinate, then, we can consider it paid. There is also a chance for a reward if you satisfy me with your deeds."
Solar Son nodded his head furiously: "I will not let you down!"
The lady smirked: "Then, here, take two of my subordinates this time, make use of them properly."
"Subordinates?" As Solar Son asked, a misty fog appeared beside him as it turned into cloaked experts, the same ones that had saved him from before.
"Go then!" The lady shouted.
Solar Son didn't dare dally any further, the two cloaked figures held his arms as they vanished.
She smiled mysteriously as they left: "Truly, who are those people?"
"To think that they ruined something that I myself know will succeed."
The lady slowly stood up as a centipede crawled over her shoulders with its antennas wiggling about. It's the same kind as Kara's children, poison fanged centipede!
The lady sighed: "When will they even make a move, it's tiring waiting for them to take action."
Meanwhile, as Solar Son made his way out, he arrived at the border of the Heavenly Divine Sword Church.
"D*mn it, it's because of that man that I've suffered this incident!" Solar Son couldn't help but scowl, the rage within him boiled further as he was reminded by how he was trashed by the female wearing heavy armor: "I'll make sure to destroy them, and for those women, I'll have them in my bed sooner or later!"
The two experts beside him frowned, one of them spoke: "Your failure is because of your greed, the greed to prove yourself to those tiny beings."
The other one couldn't help but chuckle: "To think that the plan was already successful, yet, you've just had to dally longer than needed."
"To seek benefits between two powers, such greed you have."
The two laughed as they looked at Solar Son, at first, he had dozens of pawns, yet, now, only those that escaped can be counted, even then, it's not certain if they will remain on his side as well.
Solar Son could only grit his teeth, he clenched his fists tightly as blood flowed out of it: "Just you wait, I'll prove to you all that I can redeem myself."
One of the cloaked expert smiled: "Sure, but if you fail again, know that I will be the one responsible for removing that heart of yours."
Hearing his words, Solar Son shivered, but he calmed himself again: "Hmmp, I'll definitely succeed!"
