"Why don't we go somewhere else?" Zhu Lingling proposed when she saw the change in Huo Mian's expression.1

Huo Mian nodded. Truth be told, she was very upset when she saw Mrs. Qin, because she really didn't like her.

Maybe it was because the conflict and hate between them were already so deep that it could not be easily alleviated. 

Just as they were about to leave, Mrs. Qin suddenly turned around and saw Huo Mian. She immediately walked over and stopped her. "Why are you running away from me? Are you scared of me? You're such an uneducated brat! I can't believe my own bad luck, running into you at a place like this." 

"You're funny, sometimes I avoid someone not because I'm scared, but because I just don't like that person. For example, if I see a pile of shit on the street, would I step into it? Of course not; I'll dodge it, because it's too disgusting." Huo Mian smiled calmly.

"Are you calling me disgusting?" Mrs. Qin raised her voice, and the wealthy ladies around her all came up to watch. 

"Your words, not mine."

"Mrs. Qin… who is this?" The other few wealthy ladies all walked up to them as they witnessed the drama.

They looked at Huo Mian like she was an animal in a zoo… this made her feel very uncomfortable.

"Just a filthy thing my son played with seven years ago…" Mrs. Qin didn't leave Huo Mian with a shred of dignity. 

Plus, she didn't even control her choice of words at a public space like this. Perhaps her hate for Huo Mian trumped everything else...

"Auntie Qin, that's taking it too far." Zhu Lingling helped out Huo Mian because she couldn't stand it anymore.

"Stop pretending to know me, I'm not your Auntie! Do I know you? Don't think that wearing brand-name bags and clothes makes you a socialite. Such blind imitation. You obviously don't look like you're from a wealthy family, so why try? That's what poor people do… you are all scheming things, each and every one of you, I hate people like you who pretend to be all pitiful to gain others' sympathy."

Mrs. Qin said 'poor' again and again; clearly, she was biased against those without money. 

The other wealthy ladies all began talking amongst themselves upon hearing what Mrs. Qin said... 

"Yea, I agree with you, I despise poor people as well. Despite their poor looks, they still have to wear brand names to doll themselves up, but they don't realize that they'll always be pretending, they'll never be rich. Even if you wear a crown, you still won't be a queen."

"Hehe, yeah, this girl really doesn't know how to treasure herself. How old was she seven years ago to have given herself to a man? It's definitely because your son is too attractive."

Their words grew more and more despicable, but Huo Mian didn't seem mad at all. Instead, she smiled. 

"What are you laughing at?"

"Those who are innately ugly will always think that others are ugly. She hates everything, so she believes that the world owes her. Yet, she never realizes that it's her own problem, what a pity."

Huo Mian didn't curse like them, because she thought that it was too degrading…

However, Mrs. Qin immediately became angry after she realized what Huo Mian meant. "Don't think that just because you cut around the corners to curse at me, I wouldn't be able to understand it. Let me tell you, you will never come into the Qin Family as long as I'm alive."

"Oh, really? I must come in then, and take a good look at where your front door opens to."

"How dare you, I'll definitely throw you out."

"Sure, then throw out your son as well. It's best for me if he stops going home."

"You…"

"Oops, my bad, I don't have time to talk with you anymore. I'll see you next week when I visit you and your husband. Remember to cook a nice dinner and wait for us."

After Huo Mian spoke, she smiled sweetly, and waved goodbye at Mrs. Qin…

Mrs. Qin was so furious that her eyes rolled over her head. Luckily she had a strong heart, or else she would've fainted on the spot.

Compared to devious curses, sometimes smiling was the most terrifying weapon….

After they walked out of the shopping mall, Zhu Lingling gave her a thumbs-up. "Brilliant, truly brilliant. Hahaha, you should've seen Qin Chu's mother's face! It basically turned green!"

"I was already quite polite to her. I didn't even go after her for what she did to my mom," Huo Mian coldly said…

"So, are you planning to fight against his mom for the long term?" Zhu Lingling was worried about this mother-in-law situation.

Huo Mian nodded…

"What if Qin Chu found out that you were fighting his mom like this? How would he react? If this feud continues, will it affect your relationship with Qin Chu? Even if his mom is terrible, she's still his mother," asked Zhu Lingling worryingly.
