"Help? How are you going to help me?" Huo Mian chuckled. 1

"I have my ways. Just know that I'll get rid of this tick for you."

"I'm supposed to just believe that you're this kind?" Huo Mian questioned.

"I've always been kind to you, haven't you noticed?"

"Haha… why would you, Mr. Huo, do something for free? Save your sweet talk, it only works on those young naïve girls, not on me. I won't take your help unless you tell me what you want. No pain, no gain."

"You're a stubborn girl," Huo Siqian said. He then continued, "Fine, since you've asked, I will tell you. What I want is simple – Dad is transferring his shares tomorrow, and I want all of your shares."

"That's not a problem, but is that all? No add-ons?" Huo Mian questioned him, a bit skeptical.

"What else can I add? If you want to give me anything extra, I'll take it. After all, GK is doing pretty well," Huo Siqian joked.

"Stop joking around, can you really deal with Song Yishi? She's Mayor Song's daughter you know," Huo Mian reminded him.

"It doesn't matter who her father is. I have my ways."

"Fine, I'll believe you. If you can get rid of Song Yishi for me, I will give you all my shares. I won't take a single penny."

"Okay, deal. Wait for my good news."

Huo Mian questioned the legitimacy of this deal as she hung up the phone. She could never fully trust the things that came out of Huo Siqian's mouth.

Did she need his help against Song Yishi? Of course not. But since Huo Siqian initiated this conversation, he must have other motives. She hadn't figured out what they were just yet, but her and Qin Chu's show could be over for now. A fox like Huo Siqian would reveal no more, and now he would probably be focusing his efforts on Song Yishi as he had offered. 

Huo Mian dialed Qin Chu's number but he didn't pick up. She then sent over a WeChat message, "Honey, the game is over. Come home, I'll be waiting for you."

Huo Mian waited for five minutes but he didn't reply. Her heart sped up as a small panic rushed over her. Did Qin Chu get mad at her? Since she didn't tell him when she went over to Su Yu's house.

Just as she was diving deeper within her thoughts, the knob of the bedroom door turned. Qin Chu stood at the entrance. He wore a tailored made suit, paired with the most handsome face ever.

Qin Chu always looked calm, he was rather different from Su Yu. Su Yu was an extrovert with an extremely flamboyant personality. He was hot-tempered and territorial. If he liked you, then his passion would burn you alive. But if he didn't like you, he wouldn't even bother to remember your name. 

Qin Chu, on the other hand, was the exact opposite. He was very introverted, and often times it was difficult to tell his emotions as he buried them deep within his heart. For example, with Huo Mian, he cared about her very much, but strangers would never be able to tell that he did. The emotion he felt for her was not something that could be understood by the average person. Fortunately, the presence of his determination was heavily felt by Huo Mian.

"Honey..." Huo Mian jumped up the moment she saw Qin Chu and wrapped her arms around his waist as if she was terrified he would disappear.

"I called you, but you didn't pick up, so I messaged you, but you didn't reply. I was starting to panic."

"What's there to panic about? I'm not going anywhere," Qin Chu cupped her face and stared at her beautiful face.

"So you saw my WeChat message?"

"Yes, I was almost home, so I didn't reply," Qin Chu lifted her up and walked over to the sofa and then lovingly dropped her onto his lap.

"I think Huo Siqian is changing his tactic. He's not focusing on whether or not we're divorcing. I think he's trying to get close to Song Yishi now. I'm not sure what he's trying to do it, but I think this is part of his plans," Huo Mian explained as she rested her head on Qin Chu's chest.

Qin Chu stroked Huo Mian's hair, his eyes gleaming with tenderness. "Honey, let's not talk about this for now. We have more important things to do."

"What?" Huo Mian asked, a little startled. She thought he was going to share with her some important information he recently found out.

Little did she know that Qin Chu would wrap her into his arms as he slipped his hands inside her cotton pajamas.
