"The roads there are really bumpy, and Qin Chu just had surgery, so he shouldn't sit in a car for long periods of time." Huo Mian nodded.

"What about a house barbeque party?" Gao Ran suggested.

"What do you think, honey?" Qin Chu looking at Huo Mian lovingly.

"A party sounds good. Let's hold a Christmas costume party, what do you guys think?" Huo Mian smiled and suggested.

"Hey, good idea, I like it. I watched Maleficent a while ago, I loved Angelina Jolie's makeup and outfit in that movie. I'm going to go as her, it's perfect."

"So… you're basically saying that you want to go as Snow White's stepmother?" Huo Mian immediately followed.

"Oh… Do you want to be Snow White's stepmother? You don't have to dress up for that, just be yourself," Gao Ran continued to bash Zhu Lingling.

The latter got so angry that she began pinching him…

"Hey, gentle! Are you trying to murder your husband?"

"Screw you, how thick-skinned are you? You're not my husband!" Zhu Lingling retorted.

"Are you guys flirting? I can see you've made progress…" Huo Mian laughed as she interjected.

Gao Ran immediately changed the topic. "That's a deal then, we'll start on the night of the 24th, and party until Christmas Day, what do you guys think?"

"Sure, we'll have it at our mansion, South Hill Manor is perfect for parties." Huo Mian immediately offered her estate…

Zhu Lingling clapped her hands in excitement. "Yay! I'm going to take a lot of photos and show off in my WeChat friend circle!"

After the two of them left, Huo Mian began washing Qin Chu's clothes.

Towards dawn, someone special visited Qin Chu.

Rick parked his orange Bugatti Veyron by South Side's entrance and quietly went upstairs.

Huo Mian ran into him outside Qin Chu's room door; she was heading to the neurology department to pick up some documents.

He was wearing a dark grey cashmere coat and black deerskin gloves, his expression as emotionless as a stick. He had coffee-colored hair and dark-blue eyes, and unlike other rich entrepreneurs, he was never followed around by a bunch of guards.

Rick was a proud person who liked to fly solo.

"Is Qin in there?"

"He is," Huo Mian answered.

Rick nodded and turned around to knock on the door. Then, he went in…

Huo Mian felt like Qin Chu and Rick had a lot of secrets between them, and if she was there, they wouldn't be able to speak freely.

Therefore, she took the hint and decided not to go in. She headed straight to the neurology department.

"Rick…" Qin Chu put down the book in his hands upon seeing Rick come in.

"How are you feeling?"

"I escaped from death and have pretty much recovered."

"I knew you would be fine." Rick seemed to have a lot of confidence in Qin Chu.

Then, he took out a couple of photos from his coat pocket and showed them to Qin Chu. The man in the photo seemed to have suffered a tragic death and had blood all over his face.

Normal people wouldn't be able to look at photos as bloody as this one, but Qin Chu looked through them with such calmness, his expression unperturbed.
