"I will." Huo Mian nodded with a smile. Then, she pushed open the door, got on her Audi R8 and left.

Su Yu placed the cheque back into his wallet, sighing as he stood up.

When Huo Mian walked into the office, Qin Chu was eating a bento box as he stared intently at the computer screen, seemingly hard at work.

"Mr. Qin… can't you eat a proper meal?"

"Mrs. Qin, have you had lunch?" Qin Chu smiled gently, and Huo Mian nodded. "Su Yu treated me to steak."

Qin Chu raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. "You had lunch with Su Yu? It was even steak? You seem to be more and more courageous nowadays."

"Haha, I didn't ask him out, I bumped into him. No, wait, technically he asked to see me. Su Yu's nice, he knows our company's not doing well and tried to lend me money. I didn't accept the cheque though."

"Why not?" Qin Chu asked on purpose.

"Because I know my husband can avert the crisis."

"Tsk tsk… what a suck up…" Qin Chu laughed as he embraced Huo Mian.

"Finish your lunch, Mr. Qin."

"Feed me… or else I won't be able to swallow all this food."

Because of the company and his father's condition, Qin Chu hadn't had much of an appetite and barely ate.

He was truly exhausted…

Huo Mian sat on his leg and fed him a few bites of roasted pork balls.

Yang felt so awkward when he came in that he immediately turned around to leave.

"Come back," Qin Chu called.

"We're just having lunch, it's not like we were doing anything else. What's going on in that brain of yours?" Qin Chu glanced at his assistant helplessly.

"Ah… ha, I just wanted to remind you that you're meeting an important client in ten minutes."

"Okay, I got it." Qin Chu nodded as he wiped the corners of his mouth with a napkin. "Honey, I need to see a client about something."

"Mhm, go on, I'll wait for you here." Huo Mian smiled.

Qin Chu nodded, readjusting the sleeves and collar of his suit before leaving.

Bored, Huo Mian turned the TV on and coincidentally saw Huo Siqian's live interview for a finance program.

The host asked, "President Huo, what do you think about the housing price reductions going on in C City right now?"

Huo Mian sat up and stared at the TV, listening carefully to what he had to say.

Huo Siqian smiled. "Isn't it a good thing? Everyone wants housing prices to go down, and they finally did. This way, more people can purchase properties. Young women don't have to stress out their boyfriends, and mothers-in-law don't have to stress out their sons-in-law."

Upon hearing this, the audience burst into laughter as they clapped.

The female host chuckled as well as she said, "You're so humorous, President Huo. My next question is, what do you think about GK's financial crisis? I heard GK's young madam is your little sister, will the Huo Corporation lend a hand to your sister's husband's company?"
