Gao Ran couldn't bear to hear Lingling say that Qin Chu was dead.

He didn't want to see Huo Mian so depressed, so he truly felt sad about what happened.

"The truth is, I'm trying to tell you that even if my brother-in-law is really dead, my sister still might not choose you. So, stop being so good to her, you'll just fall deeper in love with her, and put more pressure on her."

Su Yu was shocked by Zhixin's words; he didn't think the latter was capable of saying something like that.

"I know I may sound selfish, but it's the truth. I'm saying this objectively and as Huo Mian's little brother. Our family will pay you back with all we've got for what you've done for my sister, but stop putting pressure on her. She's not someone who easily changes her mind. In this life, she's only ever going to love my brother-in-law. Even if he's really dead, I'm almost certain that she'll raise her children alone, until she dies…"

After hearing what Zhixin said, Su Yu's heart went cold.
