People started chattering amongst themselves, making the atmosphere in the classroom even more tense…

Qin Chu finally stopped playing with his Rubix cube, gently placing it onto his desk.

Then he slowly looked up, the expression on his face slowly beginning to change…

The question Mr. Wu put out was one that would not appear until the University Entrance Examination, so it was rather difficult.

It wasn't a question that some grade 10 students could answer. He obviously was trying to put this girl in an impossible situation.

However, this girl solved it without hesitation…

A while ago, he saw this girl in a TV interview, where she acted as arrogant as could be.

Qin Chu was suddenly excited to see how things would unfold.

Finally, Huo Mian finished writing the last symbol, with only a bit of chalk left to spare.

She looked down at her watch and said, "Four minutes and 35 seconds. Just in time and with time to spare."

Then she threw the remaining piece of chalk in the garbage can and backed up a few steps so everyone could see the whole chalkboard.

Mr. Wu glanced at the board with a bewildered expression on his face…

"How… how is this possible?"

"Mr. Wu, I'm right, am I not?" Huo Mian smiled.

Qin Chu was at the back of the classroom. He saw the smile and felt something different fill his body.

Something seemed to arouse his little soul…

"Mr. Wu, Mr. Wu?" Huo Mian waved her hand in front of Mr. Wu since she saw him just standing there like a statue.

It took a while until Mr. Wu could react. "Have you done this question before?"

"I've never seen it before," Huo Mian said honestly.

"Then how is it possible?" Mr. Wu was still in shock. Not only did Huo Mian answer the question correctly, but she also used a simple method she developed on her own to solve it. Mr. Wu was thereby shocked at how she was able to solve it so easily and quickly.

"Who taught you this…?"

"No one taught me. I learned it by myself. I've done similar questions before… Although this question is rather difficult, I used my own method to try to prove its accuracy… It turned out that my method works. It's quite neat, don't you think?"

She continued her condescending manner as she talked back to the teacher.

Mr. Wu was dumbfounded.

Finally, he gave out a weak sigh. "You really know better than your teachers. I never thought there would be such a genius amongst you kids… Not only were you able to solve this question, but you were also able to do it with your own method… You truly are a genius… Class, if anyone is able to meet this standard, then I permit that person to sleep in my class."

The whole class started to burst into discussion as soon as Mr. Wu made this announcement…

Damn. Being able to sleep in class was such an awesome treatment.

"Sir... there's still ten minutes left. Can I go out and get some fresh air?"

"Yeah."

"Thanks."

"Ah… wait," Mr. Wu suddenly shouted.

Huo Mian turned around…

"What's your name?"

"Huo Mian." Huo Mian smiled.

Huo Mian was already famous in the first week of class.

Her going against the physics teacher had become a school legend that everyone knew about.

A lot of students in other classes would climb the windows and peek through doors to see who was Huo Mian.

The whole situation turned into something fairly big in their school…

Qin Chu picked up his Rubix cube and spun it around with one hand.

This girl was rather an interesting character…

And he liked it…

It was the first person he was ever interested in and he wanted to know more about her.

Huo Mian slowly came back from the washroom when class was about to begin…

A tall figure suddenly blocked her way at the classroom entrance…

"Hi Huo Mian, my name is Qin Chu," Qin Chu introduced himself in a condescending tone.

"What does your name have to do with me?" Huo Mian was even more arrogant.

Qin Chu gave the first helpless smile in his life after hearing to Huo Mian's response… Just like he expected, he was faced with a challenge…
