"Don't be so greedy. I came back for revenge so ransom is not the main objective. I am here to collect what rightfully belongs to me… I won't let Huo Siqian and Huo Mian off the hook so easily… I want not only their money but also them as well…"0

"Huo Mian should be easy. We have her kids here so she would come for sure… Huo Siqian might be trickier. His guard is up high that it's almost impeccable…" his subordinate said with a grim face.

On the contrary, Huo Siyi smirked evilly. 

"Don't worry. I have a way to deal with Huo Siqian. He'll come willingly." 

Time slowly passed by. Before they could arrive home, Qin Chu and Huo Mian had lost the twins.

Losing the twins was a huge shock to them. Huo Mian was worried that her brother and mother would be too worried so she chose not to tell them yet.

In the hospital, she was weak and was in grave mental pain.

"Mian… Even if you act like this, the problem won't be solved. You have to be strong." It was very rare for Su Yu to console someone. 

"I can't… If my daughters are hurt, I'll kill myself."

Huo Mian was blaming herself for what happened.

In Los Angeles, she had scolded her children right before coming back, leaving the twins in tears.

She even slapped Little Bean's hands a dozen times. Even though Huo Mian thought she was being too strict, she also believed that it would help them learn.

She didn't expect her children to be kidnapped right after coming back to China.

She regretted her behavior and wanted to apologize to Pudding and Little Bean, but they weren't there anymore.

"Su Yu… Where do you think they are? They're just three years old. Who in the world is so sick that they would kidnap two three-year-olds? This has to be some sort of plotted scheme. I'm so scared. I'll give them all the money in the world but I'm just terrified that they'd hurt my children… Su Yu, what can I do?"

Huo Mian's emotional status was very unstable, and she cried while talking.

Su Yu's heart ached upon seeing Huo Mian like this.

"Mian. Calm down. This isn't the time to lose your head… They're going to be fine. Their purpose isn't to harm the twins. They'll ask for a ransom for sure, and we'll meet all their terms. If we don't have the amount of money they want, we can go borrow it. As long as they don't hurt the kids, we'll do anything they say."

"Where's Qin Chu? I want to call him. I need to ask him how the investigation is going. We need to find them as soon as possible. They're scared of the dark and are probably cold…" Then, Huo Mian started crying again.

Right now, she was as vulnerable as a baby. She was no longer calm and strong.

This was probably how all women become once they were mothers. Their hearts are like glass when it came to their children and when something bad happened to them, they would be left in a devastated state.

Qin Chu had been gone for quite some time now so Huo Mian anxiously dialed his number.

"Chu, where are you?" 

"I'm at the Municipal Bureau." Qin Chu sounded tired as well. It seemed that the situation was bad.

Huo Mian felt her heart sink deeper.

"Any news? Any leads?" 

"Soon. Don't worry Honey… Just stay in the hospital and focus on getting well. The kids will be fine. Gao Ran and I are investigating. We have some clues on who's behind this. Leave this to me." Qin Chu was very worried about Huo Mian.

"What leads? I want to know."

"Honey, you have to trust me…"

"I want to know. Tell me!" Huo Mian was very anxious.

Finally, Qin Chu let out a deep sigh.

After some thought, Qin Chu decided to tell her the truth. "Huo Siyi is probably the one behind this…" 

"Huo Siyi? He's back?" Huo Mian was shook. She had not heard this name for a very long time.
