A Difficult Decision (18)

Huo Mian knew very clearly that Huo Siyi put a bomb on her. It was obvious, wasn't it?1

"It's probably not the type that would explode anytime. There is probably a switch somewhere…"

Huo Mian wasn't actually scared so she continued to slowly move her body.

Finally, she crawled next to Huo Siqian. She used her mouth to bite off a piece of cloth from her shirt and she threw it towards Huo Siqian.

"Hurry and wrap that wound. You have to stop the bleeding or else your life will be in danger…"

When she saw Huo Siqian lying in a puddle of blood, the only thought that crossed Huo Mian's mind was that she needed to save him.

It was her natural instincts as a doctor. All she could think about was that time was running out; she completely forgot about their old scores.

"Mian, if I die, will you miss me?" Huo Siqian didn't pick up that piece of cloth.

All he did was tilt his head with difficulty and look at Huo Mian's face, his face as pale as a ghost.

"What's the point of saying that now?" Huo Mian slightly frowned.

"It's important to me… Your answer matters a lot to me… Tell me, if I die, will you think of me? Even if it's just for one second…" Huo Siqian squeezed out a smile.

"I…" Huo Mian paused.

"Maybe… Maybe… I don't know," Huo Mian finally replied. She was confused about her own feelings.

She hated Huo Siqian because he did a lot of harm to her and Qin Chu.

However, Huo Siqian was also extremely protective of her.

He would rather provoke Huo Siyi and be tortured to this state than let the latter hurt Huo Mian.

All humans had a kind side to their heart...

Huo Mian felt very confused because Huo Siqian was someone that hurt her many times yet saved her many times too.

"Okay… Although I don't love your answer, I know you're just being honest." Huo Siqian turned around, picked up the piece of cloth, and put it on his wrist to stop the bleeding, just as Huo Mian told him to. It took him a lot of energy to do that.

"Stay strong. My husband is coming for us…" Huo Mian saw that Huo Siqian was starting to lose consciousness. 

"Oh, your husband is coming, but he's saving you guys, not me…"

Huo Mian stayed silent.

"Qin Chu wants me dead. If he comes, I'll be relieved from everything. I just hope he can come sooner and kill me. Then I don't have to endure this slow, painful death…" Due to blood loss, his consciousness was also beginning to fade away. 

His voice was extremely soft…

He felt cold, sleepy, and tired…

"Mian, I'm cold…"

Huo Mian's heart sank. Her hands were tied so she couldn't even put something on top of him to keep him warm.

"Mian, I'm sleepy… I'm going to take a nap…"

"Huo Siqian, listen to me! You can't sleep! Listen to me, if you sleep now, you'll never wake up again… You'll really die… Hang in there, okay?"

Huo Mian was very scared so she kept shouting on the top of her lungs.

Huo Siqian used all his energy to tilt his head so he could look at Huo Mian…

He teased Huo Mian, "Okay, I won't sleep but you have to kiss me." Huo Siqian's words were very flirty like usual.
