Qin Chu looked towards the direction Huo Mian was pointing, and he saw a couple walking out of a black Land Rover. 0

The man was Wei Dong, Qin Chu, and Huo Mian's classmate. They had not seen each other for many years.

Huo Mian also knew the girl by Wei Dong's side. Her name was Qi Hong and she had been in another class in their grade.

She was the prettiest girl in her class. Even after many years, she was still fashionable and beautiful.

She was slim and wore a white mink coat. Wei Dong put his hand on her shoulder as they walked. The two were obviously of some close relationship.

They walked out of the car and towards Ah-Xin's Ramen.

Wei Dong froze when he saw Qin Chu and Huo Mian inside.

"What a coincidence! Are you having dinner here too?" Wei Dong asked, looking slightly embarrassed.

He never expected to see his old classmates here and therefore was too shocked to react properly.

"Yeah," Huo Mian said. Qin Chu, on the other hand, didn't say anything. Huo Mian, however, didn't want the atmosphere to be too awkward, so she nodded.

"Um… Enjoy your meal. My friend and I are just wandering around…" Wei Dong turned around with the girl with her to leave.

They heard the girl whispered, "Do you know them?"

"You don't know them. They're Qin Chu and Huo Mian…" Wei Dong kept his volume extremely low.

"Qin Chu? Huo Mian? Oh my…" When the girl heard who they were, she turned around to look at them, as they were very famous back at school.

"How did they get together?" Huo Mian asked curiously. 

"What's wrong?"

"I heard Lingling say that Qi Hong got married a couple of years ago to someone from a nearby county. I heard that her husband's father was the county magistrate. Their family was pretty powerful locally. I never heard they divorced though. Why is she with Wei Dong right now?" Huo Mian mumbled. 

"Who said you had to get divorced to be with another man… Honey, you're too pure… I know a bit about Wei Dong. There was a time that his family had money problems and his father had left town to escape for a while… They probably had help from other people to revive their family. Maybe Qi Hong was the one that helped… Not all men and women get together because of love… Mian, you tend to see things in a positive light but not everything in this world is good…"

Qin Chu understood human nature too well now, so he was capable of analyzing the situation very calmly.

Huo Mian immediately came to a realization. "Everything makes sense now! There was a time Wei Dong came to me to borrow money but I didn't lend it to him. I think he held a grudge against me because of that and now every time we see each other, it's quite awkward."

"You did the right thing. You shouldn't have too many connections with Wei Dong. I don't like how he behaves," Qin Chu criticized.

Wei Dong had pitied Huo Mian before. However, he had threatened Huo Mian to get engaged with him with Zhixin's surgery money.

When Qin Chu found out, he immediately crushed Wei Dong. From then on, Wei Dong never dared to bother them.

Wei Dong and Qi Hong's appearance was only a sudden episode that happened during their dinner date. Very soon, Huo Mian and Qin Chu continued having dinner over a good conversation.

Inside the Land Rover, Qi Hong ridiculed, "I remember Huo Mian. Isn't she that arrogant girl that you guys praised as a goddess? I thought you desperately pursued her but she didn't even look at you." 

"There are always protectors by her side… Hehe… It will never be my turn…" Wei Dong smiled.

"Oh my… You sound so sour about it…" Qi Hong said as she pouted.

Wei Dong reached out to touch her chin and said, "I don't care about other people now. You're the most beautiful woman in my eyes, Baby."

"Oh! You actually know how to flatter me?"

Tang Chuan had timed when Su Yu would get off work and return home. He then raced to Su Yu's personal mansion.

"Yu, Yu, come out! Now!" Tang Chuan was very anxious.

Su Yu had just taken off his jacket. He turned around and said, "What?"
