"Honey, I have a meeting in the morning. I'm heading out now…"

'I'll drive you." Qin Chu immediately stood up, dropping his unfinished slice of bread. 

"It's okay, I can go myself."

"No, I'll take you there." Qin Chu wouldn't let her go to work alone no matter how hard she tried.

In the end, it was Qin Chu that insisted on driving Huo Mian to South Side.

Before she got off the car, Qin Chu held Huo Mian's hands and looked deep into her eyes. "Baby, I'll pick you up when you finish work, don't leave by yourself."

After Huo Mian entered her office, Chen Jie came in with a stack of documents.

"Deputy director, these are the materials for the morning meeting… you can go over them first…"

Huo Mian looked up at Chen Jie and smiled. "Why are you back so soon? Didn't I give you a long vacation?"

Due to Chen Jie and Ni Yang's status as newlyweds, Huo Mian made sure to give her an extra-long holiday. 

Although Huo Mian didn't expect her to return so quickly, she appreciated the familiar presence.

"I can't rest for too long… It's too boring…" Chen Jie smiled.

"That brat Ni Yang's okay with you coming back to work?"

"Of course… He's busy writing new songs every day too. We both should get back to our lives… It's probably not good to spend too much time together…" Chen Jie's face ruddied.

"Alright, put down the files, I'll take a look later."
