"Apologize? Are you kidding? What did I do wrong? Come on, let's go to Mauritius. I heard the weather there is amazing, and there's a lot of wildlife." Before Lu Yan could respond, Qiao Fei pulled her up and steered her towards the international departures gate. 

"Qiao Fei, we're not going on vacation, we're running away for our lives, do you get that? I have a lot of enemies… we might be slaughtered the minute we get off the plane," Lu Yan said with a serious expression on her face.

"I get that."

"So you're not afraid of dying?" Lu Yan tried to calm herself down as she reconfirmed Qiao Fei's feelings for her.

"Yan, I'm not good with words, and some things I can only say once so listen carefully. I will never let you run away by yourself and face dangers alone. I'm willing to go anywhere with you… so what if we die? It's not like we're going to live forever, so what does it matter if we die sooner or later?" Qiao Fei said nonchalantly.

His words caused a giant wave of emotions within Lu Yan. She never thought that one day, a man would be willing to run around the world with her, living a hellish life.

Lu Yan had always been strong as iron, but right now, tears welled up in her eyes.

"What's with the expression? Are you touched?" Qiao Fei wasn't used to Lu Yan being so serious, so he joked with her.

Qiao Fei sighed in relief upon seeing that Lu Yan's mood had lightened up. He put his arms around Lu Yan and began playing cute. "Can we go now? I want to sit in first class…"

Lu Yan nodded; she knew Qiao Fei had made up his mind, so she decided to not try to talk him out of his own decision anymore. The two of them quickly left Moscow.
