Huo Mian took off her black glasses and white coat as she got ready to get off work.

"I'll get going, Deputy Director. Drive slowly when you leave. Bye-bye."

After they bade goodbye to each other, Huo Mian saw Shen Mingxi and Huo Yanyan when she picked up her bag and was about to lock the door of the office.

"Mian…" Huo Yanyan said with red and swollen eyes.

"What's wrong? Are you guys here for a checkup?" Huo Mian was shocked.

"No, we're here to see you," Shen Mingxi said slowly.

"Come in first." Huo Mian didn't lock the door. She pushed the door of the office open again and brought the two of them inside.

"Mian, Huo Siqian took my daughter away. You gotta help me save her."

Huo Yanyan grabbed Huo Mian's hand as her tears shed again.

"Huo Siqian took Tiantian away? What… is going on?" Huo Mian was confused.

She poured two cups of water for Shen Mingxi and Huo Yanyan. Huo Yanyan soon described the incident while crying.

After hearing Huo Yanyan's words, Huo Mian remained silent, and there was a solemn look was on her face.

"Huo Mian… I hope you can help Yanyan." Shen Mingxi only cared for Huo Yanyan but forgot how difficult it would be for Huo Mian.

"Young Master Shen, this… is not as easy as you think. First of all, I have to ask you a question. Did you guys… do anything to Huo Siqian recently? With my understanding of him, if he wanted to get rid of Yanyan, he would've done it a long time ago and wouldn't wait until now. Unless… did you guys take the initiative and provoke him?" Huo Mian asked seriously.

Shen Mingxi and Huo Yanyan looked at each other and admitted by nodding.

"We did do some things behind his back and made the Huo Corporation's stock market slide… I thought… he wouldn't find out we did it because he has a lot of enemies," Huo Yanyan said, feeling a bit guilty. 

"You wanted to make him think that Qin Chu did it. Am I right?" Huo Mian asked calmly.

"No, that's not what I planned," Huo Yanyan shook her hand and explained immediately.

Shen Mingxi went to support her. "Get up, Yanyan. What are you doing?" 

"Yanyan, you just said that you can't lose your daughter. What about me? I'm also a mother. If something happens to me, what about my two daughters?" Huo Mian asked word by word, and she felt horrible as well. She knew saying this would make her seem too indifferent, but she was also stating the fact.
