"Ruthless? Or, douchey?" Huo Mian answered for him.

"We received a patient last night, she was preparing for a natural delivery, but it has been almost ten hours, and she still isn't fully dilated."

"Keep waiting, that's normal."

"No, she's in extreme pain, she's close to passing out. Chief Zhao examined her and found out that the child is in the wrong position. Every time she pushed, the fetus went to the left as opposed to down. Chief Zhao said that she is in danger."

"What are you waiting for? Give her a C-section," Huo Mian said in determination. 

"Chief Zhao said the same thing, but the patient's family won't agree to the surgery. They're saying that Chief Zhao is trying to scam them into paying more and that's why we are suggesting C-section."

"How could they… They're so ignorant." Huo Mian's face darkened.

"Yeah, the situation is very urgent. I don't think she can hold on any longer, and we're all worried about her and the kid's safety. However, her family still wants her to deliver naturally. We don't know what to do, Chief Zhao asked me to get your opinion. Should we get involved or not?"

"Let me see."

Huo Mian's face was cold, she handed her files to Chen Jie and rushed to the maternity department.

This was a rare occurrence since everyone was usually concerned about the mother and the child's safety. Very few were so uneducated.

Chief Zhao was just a doctor and didn't have authority. If she did a C-section and the family sued, her career would be over.

When she got there, she pushed away from the crowd and approached the patient.
