"Yu, what are you doing? She just got here, why are you in such a hurry?" Mrs. Su glared at Su Yu, who shrugged innocently. "Oh, I thought maybe she wanted to go back to check on the official, that's why she's here, no?"2

"Was that really what you thought?" Mrs. Su huffed angrily. Then, she turned to Meng Wanying with a smile. "Wanying, don't be offended. Yu's always been like this."

"It's okay, Auntie Su, he's right. Thank you for offering to drive me back to the hospital, Big Brother Yu."

"Big Brother Yu? You are younger than me?" Su Yu frowned.

"I… asked Auntie Su, I'm two years younger than you are," the woman replied earnestly.

"Oh yeah? You're two years younger than I am? But you look much older."

Upon hearing this, An almost spat out the soup in his mouth; he never realized that Su Yu could be like this.

"Yu, watch your words!" Mrs. Su was practically fuming.

"I was just telling the truth, Mom, don't you think she looks old as well?"

By this point, the woman's face had turned purple…

"Auntie Su, I'm not feeling well. I'm going to head back to the hospital."

"Don't leave, Wanying, you haven't eaten yet!"

"It's fine."

"I'll get a driver to take you there, Auntie Meng," Su Yu added.

Meng Wanying's face turned red from fury; she shook her head. "No thank you, I drove here."

Then, she picked up her bag and stormed towards the front door. Mrs. Su immediately followed behind to apologize.

"Wanying, don't be offended, my son was just joking around."

"It's okay, Auntie Su, I'm fine. I know he's not interested in me, and I'm okay with that."

Then, Meng Wanying got into her car and drove away from the Su Family Mansion.

When Mrs. Su walked back into the dining room, she saw Su Yu enjoying corn on the cob and couldn't help but scold him, "Put that down, how dare you eat right now!"

"Mom, calm down. I'm your son."

"How lucky am I to have you as my son? You practically drove her away! Do you know how much trouble I went through to invite her to dinner? I was trying to set you guys up!"

"Mom, she's not my type. An, is she your type?" Su Yu turned to look at An, who didn't know what to do; no matter what he did right now, he would still offend at least one of the two people in the room.

"See? Even An doesn't like her. What were you thinking, trying to set us up?" Su Yu took this chance immediately, leaving An more speechless than ever. Too bad he couldn't stand up from his seat and yell "I don't want to be involved!" right now.

"Yu, I did it for you. I thought you liked doctors, so I found you a doctor! She's pretty, smart and capable, and her parents are both military officers. Plus, her grandfather was old comrades with your grandpa! It's a perfect match!"

"Mom, I think you misunderstood me."

"What do you mean by that?" Mrs. Su froze for a second, not sure what Su Yu was getting at.

"The truth is, I don't like doctors." He responded. Then, he added quietly, "the fact that Huo Mian's a doctor is just a coincidence."
