"It's complicated. Let it go, will you?" Qin Chu didn't sound like he was in a good moon.0

"I refuse to do that," Qin Ning insisted.

"Why won't you listen to me? Have you even figured out your own problems?" Qin Chu scolded with a frown.

"I… I can deal with my own business," Qin Ning replied, stuttering a little.

"Did you figure things out with your dad yet?" Qin Chu asked.

"I… will, sooner or later," Qin Ning responded without much confidence.

"It's late, I'm going to bed." Then, before Qin Ning could say anything else, Qin Chu hung up the phone.

"Wait, Big Brother, I'm not done yet. What's going on between you and…"

However, Qin Chu had already hung up, leaving Qin Ning as sad as a deflated balloon.

"Ning-Ning, what did your brother say?" Tang Chuan asked.

"He hung up before I had a chance to say anything," Qin Ning said dejectedly.

"Then it must be true, Little Bean wasn't lying to us." Tang Chuan handed Qin Ning the ice cream that was just delivered to their table. Then, he grabbed a napkin and gave it to her. His service was on point. 

"I'm surprised as well. Although Little Bean's always joking around, she could never lie about this. I'm sure something's going on between him and my sister-in-law. What should we do?"

"How about, I ask… Su Yu?"

"Oh, that's a good idea! Call him right now."

Qin Ning immediately agreed with Tang Chuan's suggestion. 

Although it was broad daylight in the United States, it was after midnight in China. Therefore, Su Yu almost cussed when his phone rang.

"F*ck you, Tang Chuan. I'm going to kill you when you come back," Su Yu cursed sleepily.

"You can do whatever you want to me after you answer my question." Tang Chuan began sucking up.

"Why can't you ask me tomorrow? Do you want me to chop you up into pieces?" Su Yu was obviously not happy to be woken up at such an ungodly hour; who would?

"Come on, don't be mad, Young Master Su. I would never call you and wake you up if I didn't have something important to ask," Tang Chuan said.

"Just ask me already, I'm so sleepy."

"Yes Sir! I wanted to ask you about Qin Chu and Huo Mian."

Upon hearing Huo Mian's name, Su Yu slowly opened his eyes and sat up on his bed, turning on the light on his bedside table.

"About Mian? Go on."

As expected, Su Yu was immediately interested.

"I heard Qin Chu and Huo Mian's been fighting, and last night Huo Mian got so mad that she went back to her mother's house and left the twins behind."

"What the f*ck? What kind of rumor is that?" Su Yu asked with surprise.

"Little Bean told us this, and it's true. Ning just got off the phone with Qin Chu and said he seemed off. We assumed that you would know about this since you're in China."

"I didn't hear about it. Mian really went back to her mom's and left the kids at South Hill?"

Su Yu couldn't believe it; Huo Mian was such a calm person, she would never do something like that, right? She loved her children more than her life, so what kind of argument did she and Qin Chu have for her to leave the children behind?

By this time, Su Yu had completely woken up, and he was worried sick about Huo Mian.

"Yu, you really don't know about this? Didn't anything happen between them recently?" Tang Chuan asked.
