To be honest, seeing her mother-in-law like this, with such concern, she felt rather heart-warming. 1

The in-laws were getting older, and they were no longer as calculative. Naturally, they would worry their hearts out as they didn't know that Huo Mian and Qin Chu were putting on a show.

After all this time, Huo Mian's mother-in-law had changed significantly. Regardless of how much misunderstanding she used to hold against Huo Mian, it looked like she had let go of the past and evolved into a different person. 

"Mom, thank you and Dad." Huo Mian felt touched.

"What are you thanking us for? This is what we're supposed to do. We won't spoil him and allow him to do ridiculous things just because he is our son. Look at that boy from the Shen Family. He used to be such a nice kid, but then, look at all the things that happened since he's gotten close with that Huo Yanyan girl. We will never allow that to happen within our family. At the very least, Chu still listens to his father, so he must care for what he says. All those years, you faced all the stress alone and gave birth to two little princesses for our family. Those are the biggest blessings to the Qin Family; we will never do or allow anything that will hurt you for the rest of our lives."

"I understand." Huo Mian bit her lip. If it weren't for the wrong timing, she really wanted to let her mother-in-law know that she was pregnant again. She wondered how happy her in-laws would be when they found out.

Regardless of what gender the baby was, the fact that there was a new life coming always brings anticipation.

After eating breakfast, Huo Mian organized the twins' closet and took her daughters out to play.

"Mommy, how come you're in such a good mood today?" Little Bean asked while sitting in the backseat.

There wasn't enough room in the sports car, so Huo Mian picked out an Audi A8L from the garage. The car was black in color; it looked low-key, but luxurious nonetheless.

The twins looked especially cute in their little red plaid capes with a black skirt and a pair of red boots. 

"Mommy has the day off today. It's been a while since I took you girls out."

"So, Mommy, where are we going now?" Pudding asked while focusing on the tablet in her hands.

"What are you guys thinking?" Huo Mian asked as she drove out of the driveway.

"Can we go to Imperial Star??" Little Bean suggested with excitement.

"Why don't you just say you want to go find Uncle Su?" Huo Mian couldn't help but chuckle.

"Yeah, Handsome Su's been so busy recently, he doesn't talk or come and find us anymore! I wonder if it's because he is busy with girls…" Little Bean propped her little head up with both fists under her chin.

"Haha, don't gossip." Huo Mian smiled.

"According to what I know about Handsome Su, he wouldn't," Pudding answered without looking up from her tablet.

"Why?"

"Not telling you. Think about it yourself, pig head." Pudding glanced at her little sis.

"Mommy, look! Big Sis is calling me a pig head again!" Little Bean snitched.

"So why can't you be a little smarter?" Huo Mian joked.

"Then I have to put the blame on you. Why didn't you make me a little smarter?"

"So, it's my fault??" Huo Mian didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"All jokes aside, Mommy, can we go to Imperial Star? Can we?? I miss Handsome Su," Little Bean said.

"Do you miss Handsome Su, or do you miss him paying for Haagen Daz ice cream?" Huo Mian asked. 

"Ahahaha, you guessed it, Mommy, you're so clever!" Little Bean giggled, leaving Huo Mian speechless.

"Mommy, forget the foodie, let's go to Nan Tian Hot Spring," Pudding said.

"Nooo, I want to go to Imperial Star! I don't want to go to the hot spring."

The two girls were clearly having a disagreement. At this time, Huo Mian will be at fault no matter who she helped. Suddenly, she had a eureka moment and said, "Rock, paper, scissors, one round only."
