After they got into the car, He Yongjun continued driving along the mountain road…

Shen Jiani was quick and immediately connected the dots back to the women they saw at lunch.

"I knew something was off… and you told me to not worry!" He Yongjun glared at Shen Jiani in rage.

"How was I supposed to know? That woman looked like Huo Mian… but… I wasn't expecting anything strange from her… If she took the kids but left us here, it means that she doesn't have enough help to fight us head-on. Big Brother Jun, we should catch up to her. She's afraid of us and she's uncertain. Otherwise, she wouldn't have left us untouched. We can chase her down and grab the kids before she makes it to C City."

"Are you nuts? The city is filled with police. Do you not know who Qin Chu is? If we go back, we'll die. Are you trying to get caught?" Clearly, He Yongjun was against the idea of going back.

"Then… are we just going to give up? We were so close… if we give up now, wouldn't everything we have done be in vain?" Shen Jiani pouted and whined.

"Shut the hell up!" He Yongjun cursed. 

Seeing that he was truly irate, Shen Jiani put her head down, afraid to say more.

"I know what you're thinking. You want to use me to avenge your son. I do want the one billion yuan, but I need a life to spend it. The situation is no longer within our control. Qin Chu will get us whether or not the kids return to him. Our only solution is to run away as fast as possible. We can't stay in the country any longer… it's too dangerous. Listen, I don't care how much hate you have for them, you're holding that in. As long as you're still alive, you will find another chance. He Yongjun had made himself clear; he didn't want to die. Since they had failed, they needed to get the hell out of there.

Otherwise, once Qin Chu caught up to them, only a brutal ending awaited them.

"I just… can't believe it turned out like this." Shen Jiani clenched her fists. 

She had thought that she could finally avenge her son, but now, they were running away like street rats. She really didn't want to go back to Vietnam and continue living a crappy life.

"If you still want to do this, get off the car and we'll part here. Go seek help from your daughter and see if she can help you, hmph!"

He Yongjun huffed, clearly annoyed by Shen Jiani.

"Big Brother Jun, don't get mad… how could I leave you… I love you."

Seeing He Yongjun really getting angry, Shen Jiani began to coax and soften her stance.

"Yanyan, your mom's been at her cousin's for a long time. Why isn't she back yet?" Shen Mingxi suddenly asked during dinner.

Huo Yanyan's expression shifted at the question.
