"But what about the meals?" Mrs. Wei didn't want her daughter to suffer.

"No meals for her. I'll starve her for a few days. What she did shamed all of us."

The senior Mr. Wei was angry not only because his daughter was caught in a hotel room with Shen Mingxi but that she still wanted to contact Shen Mingxi after she got home.

He felt ashamed that his daughter wanted to go back to her ex; the elderly gentleman was very traditional in his thoughts.

Jiang Xiaowei wanted to speak for her sister-in-law, but seeing her father-in-law's fury, she didn't dare to add fuel to the fire; besides, her husband agreed with his father's measures.

The Wei Family was in chaos…

"Xiaowei, you guys go home; you don't have to stay here." The senior gentleman waved his hand and drove out Wei Liao and Jiang Xiaowei.

"Grandpa, I don't have school tomorrow. I want to stay."

Wei Yunchu said in a small voice.

"Fine. Yunchu can stay." The senior Mr. Wei touched his grandson's head.

Before she left, Jiang Xiaowei pulled her son to one side and asked, "Kiddo, what are you up to?"

"Nothing."

"Don't lie to your mother. Tell me…"

"Mom, I want to help my auntie. She's very good to me."

Wei Yunchu whispered in Jiang Xiaowei's ear.

"Okay, but be careful. If things go out of control, your grandpa would get angry and deal with you."

"I'll be fine. I have ways to handle Grandpa."

Wei Yunchu was a smart kid and had come up with an idea.

After his parents were gone, he sat on the sofa and played with his cellphone; in fact, he was communicating with Pudding on WeChat and talking about how to get Wei Ying out.

After supper, his grandpa went into his study to drink tea and read.

Wei Yunchu went upstairs silently and came to Wei Ying's door.

"Auntie… Auntie," he called out in a low voice.

"Yunchu?"

Hearing her nephew's voice, Wei Ying hurried to the door.

"Auntie, it's me."

"Yunchu, where's your mom?"

"She was sent home by Grandpa."

Wei Ying's heart sank at the news.

"Auntie, don't worry. I'll help you escape."

"Nephew…" Wei Ying was exasperated, wondering how her nephew, who was only a few years old, could help her escape.

"Pudding and I came up with an idea. After my grandpa goes to bed, I'll help you out. I saw Grandpa lock your cellphone in the cabinet in his study, so I can't get it. But Pudding got a new cellphone for you. When you get out of the house, someone will give it to you at the door."

"That's a well-thought plan."

Hearing her nephew's plan, Wei Ying was stunned.

"Anyway, you can trust me. If you stay, Grandpa might lock you here for days. He's truly furious today."

"But if I escape, your grandpa will be angrier."

"You can choose to stay here and get starved. Grandpa won't give you food."

"Fine, I want to get out. Thank you, my big nephew."

"Get prepared. Pack some clothes, etc."

Then Wei Yunchu left her door.

At 12:30 at night. 

The escape plan that Wei Yunchu and Pudding concocted went very well.

When Wei Ying got out of the house, the Qin Family's chauffeur sent by Pudding was waiting for her with a new cell phone.

But another problem rose.

With her cellphone, wallet, and credit cards locked in the study by her father, where could she go in the middle of the night?

She thought of calling her besties but didn't want them to see her in this messy state.

After some consideration, Wei Ying dialed Shen Mingxi's number.

"Mingxi…"

"Ying?" Shen Mingxi was elated when he heard Wei Ying's voice.
