Shen Mingxi didn't know that Wei Ying liked him more than he could imagine.1

Oh, no, Wei Ying's feelings for him couldn't be described by the word "like". It was love, a deep love.

Even though Shen Mingxi had hurt her deeply, she still couldn't let him go.

At the rare occasion of bumping into Huo Mian and Su Yu, she blurted out the request and asked Su Yu to help her. After all, Huo Mian and Su Yu were the center of their circle of friends. Qin Chu would attend their gatherings occasionally, but he had few exchanges with Wei Liao and Tang Chuan in private. 

Besides, she knew she couldn't dodge her family and live in Shen Mingxi's house forever without a legal status.

"Ying…" Shen Mingxi looked at Wei Ying in astonishment. 

As a man, he should be the one to propose, but Wei Ying took it out of his hand. He had complicated feelings inside, and the foremost ones were gratitude, delight, and surprise.

He had thought Wei Ying held grudges for the things he had done to her in the past, which would pose a big obstacle for their getting back together.

But now that Wei Ying offered to remarry him, his worry turned out to be groundless.

"It's fine for you guys to remarry… We can see you two still love each other after all the things you went through. But even if your second elder brother and other members of the Wei Family agree to your marriage, can you have a peaceful life together? Don't forget Huo Yanyan and her daughter are standing between you."

Despite his hot-temper, Su Yu was a considerate man. He had talked about this concern with Wei Liao.

In fact, everyone could see that. If Huo Yanyan continued with her crazy behavior and caused scenes for them once for a while, Wei Ying and Shen Mingxi's life would be difficult.

Huo Mian glanced at Su Yu appreciatively, thinking he was right.

"I'll solve the problem of Huo Yanyan."

Shen Mingxi seemed to have made a decision; it was a promise not only to Su Yu but also to Wei Ying.

"Then… I'll try. Mr. Wei is angry but he's doing it for the sake of his younger sister. If you're sure you will be happy by remarrying him, I think… your brother won't stand in the way."

Su Yu glanced at Wei Ying and said slowly.

"I know my second brother loves me more than my eldest brother does." Wei Ying bit on her lip since she knew her decision might hurt her brother.

"Sister Mian, you're an important friend to my second brother and sister-in-law. Please help me and speak to them."

Wei Ying looked at Huo Mian beseechingly like a helpless girl.

"Your sister-in-law is easy to convince; but your second brother… I'll try."

Huo Mian only promised to try. After all, it was a family issue and she was not a person who loved to mind other people's business.

Besides, to be honest, she didn't have a good feeling about Wei Ying's remarriage, but she wouldn't tell her to her face. 

After the meal, Shen Mingxi paid the bill and walked Su Yu and Huo Mian out of the restaurant.

Sitting in the car, Huo Mian didn't speak and looked thoughtful.

Su Yu asked as he drove, "What's on your mind, Mian?"

"Su Yu, do you really think it's a good idea for Wei Ying and Mr. Shen to remarry?" Huo Mian cocked her head and asked earnestly.
