Gao Ran's voice woke up Huo Mian, who had been a light sleeper after she got pregnant.2

She turned and placed her head on Qin Chu's arm to listen to their conversation.

Qin Chu turned the volume up.

"Who killed her?"

"Some gangsters. Bao from Fuhu Hall. Do you know him?"

"No." Qin Chu didn't pay attention to the small gangsters.

After years of crackdown from the government, most of the gangsters had moved to do business. 

In fact, Xu Shu and Bao were small gangsters who did some illegal business secretly.

They were not related to real mafias, so Qin Chu didn't know about them.

"He's a gang leader who has been sleeping with Huo Yanyan lately. He's a cruel man. Huo Yanyan stayed with him because he'd give her money and the status of a gangster leader's woman." Gao Ran knew about it from Bao's subordinates.

"Why did he kill her?"

Gao Ran told him the whole thing.

"I have a video mailed to me anonymously. You'll know after watching it."

"Okay."

Gao Ran hung up and sent the video clip to Qin Chu's cellphone.

Together, Qin Chu and Huo Mian watched the last moment before Huo Yanyan's death.

To be honest, Huo Yanyan deserved to die and they didn't pity her.

But one must admit that she had died pathetically without leaving a body for burial. It was the most horrible end for a person.

Qin Chu moved the video away at the last part, afraid Huo Mian would feel disturbed.

After all, she was pregnant and might be emotionally disturbed.

"Honey, I'm fine. I'm not Saint Theresa and don't feel pity for her. It's a good thing for her to die. I hope she'll be a better person in her next lifetime."

Huo Mian was calm with the whole thing. In fact, Huo Yanyan should have died long ago. 

If not for Huo Mian, Qin Chu would have killed her.

"The woman made her bed and she must lie in it. She doesn't deserve pity." Qin Chu put down his cellphone expressionlessly.

"But I'm curious about one thing."

"Do you want to ask who shot the video?" Qin Chu turned and held her shoulder gently.

"No wonder you're my husband. You read my mind."

"Obviously, the person shooting the video watched Huo Yanyan die and didn't call the police or help her. He mailed the video to the municipal public security bureau to make it known that Huo Yanyan is dead."

"Old Gao said one of Bao's trusted subordinates fled… The whole thing is quite obvious." Qin Chu analyzed.

"He did it, right?" Huo Mian knew the answer.

When she went to eat soup steam dumplings with Su Yu, they had bumped into Shen Mingxi and Wei Ying. Wei Ying had announced that they'd remarry, and Shen Mingxi promised them that he'd solve the problem of Huo Yanyan. 

With Shen Mingxi's personality, he couldn't have killed Huo Yanyan personally. He did a good job of killing her with another's hand. 

"Yeah, he must be behind it. He must have bought out Bao's subordinate and set the trap." Qin Chu agreed to his wife's speculation.

"I'm surprised that Huo Yanyan died at his hands," Huo Mian said feelingly.

She remembered how Shen Mingxi offended everyone for Huo Yanyan, but now…

"So, what goes around comes around." Qin Chu quoted the idiom.

"Honey, now it seems… the Huo Family was wiped out?" Huo Mian lamented.

"No. There's one remaining."
