On the day of Han Yueyao's second performance on the live show, lots of people were waiting to see it in front of TV sets.2

Even Han Yueyao's parents came from the distant Jing City at the TV station's invitation to watch the show backstage.

The TV station was hyping for the show…

In the powder room.

Her partner hadn't come yet.

"Yao, your partner is not here… Do you have his WeChat? Ask him what's wrong with him."

Her agent was anxious, afraid the guy would ruin Han Yueyao's performance since he was her partner.

"He won't be late. This show is very popular, and it won't reflect well on him if he's late…"

"Fine. You put on make-up first."

During the process, Han Yueyao went to the washroom and bumped into Ding Lan, another performer of the dance show.

As a rising star of Fangda Company, Ding Lan was quite popular in the last two years.

After shooting several idol soap operas and some minor reality shows, she had accumulated lots of fans.

She had a pure and innocent look with her.

Han Yueyao liked her since she had watched the latter's TV series.

Han Yueyao greeted her, "Hello."

To her surprise, Ding Lan ignored her as if she didn't hear the greeting, making Han Yueyao very embarrassed. But it wasn't the end of it.

When Ding Lan walked out of the washroom, she fell toward the direction of Han Yueyao. No one knew if it was intentional or an accident.

Caught by surprise, Han Yueyao was knocked down by the weight of Ding Lan's body.

She lay on the ground with Ding Lan falling on her body; of course, Ding Lan didn't feel any impact of the fall.

But Han Yueyao's foot got twisted and stinging pain came from it. 

"I'm so sorry. Are you okay?"

Ding Lan got up immediately and reached out to pull Han Yueyao up.

Suppressing her pain, Han Yueyao didn't speak; she lowered her head to examine her injury.

Instantly, her left ankle became red and swollen.

That was bad since the show would begin soon.

"Whoa. Your ankle is red… I'll call the ambulance to get you to hospital."

"No. It's not serious."

Han Yueyao wasn't stupid. If the ambulance came and took her away, it meant that she would have to forfeit this round of the show.

She'd ruin the chance for her partner Yuan Bo, so his fans would curse her.

"But you're injured. Wounds in the feet must be taken seriously; if you don't treat it in time, it will get out of control. I got an injury like this when I was shooting. Don't worry, I'll pay the medical expenses for you. You must go to the hospital."

Ding Lan persuaded her with faked sincerity.

Han Yueyao couldn't stand it anymore.

"You want so much to get me out of the contest? I'm a new performer and you feel so threatened by me to play such a low trick?"

"What are you talking about? I don't understand… It was an accident. I apologize and admit it's my fault. I told you I'd pay your medical expense…"

Ding Lan put on a pitiful look; if Han Yueyao wasn't smart, she'd be fooled by her trick.

"I won't go to the hospital. I'll continue with the contest…"

Han Yueyao pushed Ding Lan away and walked out of the washroom with difficulty.

Ding Lan watched her with her lips curved up.

Of course, she wouldn't be eliminated, but with one competitor out of the contest, she'd have one less rival. Han Yueyao wasn't a threat, but Yuan Bo with 10 million fans is a big rival… Since she couldn't find a way to deal with Yuan Bo, she resorted to this trick.

"Han Yueyao, Yuan Bo, get ready… You're next." The order came from the directors.

"Whoa, My Majesty, what took you so long? Oh, my god! What happened to your ankle?" Her agent was terrified when she saw Han Yueyao's swollen ankle.
