Qin Chu helped her to sit on the bed; she was clumsy, feeling her belly was dozens of pounds weighing her down.

Cautiously, Qin Chu pulled off her pure white cotton socks.

He flicked on the back of her foot gently.

"They look swollen. Are you in pain?"

"It's a typical sign in the late stage of pregnancy… It's no big deal and I don't feel any pain. It was like this when I was pregnant with Pudding and Little Bean."

Huo Mian said the words without thinking and she regretted them immediately.

She was conscious that Qin Chu had missed that period with her.

Qin Chu put the socks aside carefully and went to the bathroom to get hot water.
