"Honey, can you check if anything is strange with the phone?"2

Huo Mian nodded and took over Su Yu's phone. She connected it to the laptop.

The screensaver that popped up made her feel rather awkward.

If Su Yu was not in danger, no one had the right to touch his personal property.

They never knew that Su Yu's screensaver was still Huo Mian's photo.

It was taken a few years ago, so she looked younger in the photo. She was still a doctor at South Side, and was in a white robe with black framed glasses. 

Her hair back then wasn't as long but she was still very pretty.

"Ahem…" An walked up to the couple and coughed.

Huo Mian immediately hid her embarrassment and checked the phone. 

When she finished, she unplugged it and said, "The phone is intact. There's no signs of suspicious contacts or messages being deleted."

"That's strange. Su Yu's not the type that can be easily taken away. Did he have something to do suddenly today and went out on his own?"

"That's impossible. President Su never leaves without telling me. Even if he left, the security footage should have captured it. The biggest problem here now is that President Su disappeared into thin air," An anxiously explained.

"How can someone disappear into thin air? Someone must have done something." Huo Mian was calm. She could sense that this was not so simple.

Qin Chu frowned and analyzed, "Someone that can take Su Yu away late at night must be someone very strong and powerful." 

"Yes, I agree. Otherwise, President Su wouldn't have been captured without counterattacking."

"Did Su Yu get on the wrong side of any one recently?" Qin Chu asked An.

"No, but there was once where President Su's car was altered to hurt him. Luckily, I caught it in time."

"That means he has an arch nemesis." Qin Chu raised a brow.

"Honey, do you remember that car accident?" Huo Mian reminded.

"Yeah, that time we couldn't find anything. Maybe it was the same group who altered his car and caused the car accident that took away Su Yu."

"Who can it be?" Huo Mian sighed.

"Let me call Gao Ran first so he can investigate any suspicious cars and surveillance footage."

Qin Chu then took out his phone and called Gao Ran, who was at the Municipal Public Security Bureau.

On the other hand, An was gravely anxious.

"President Huo, is my boss in danger?" 

An was afraid Su Yu would be killed just like that.

"No, Su Yu's a strong person," Huo Mian said as if she were almost convincing herself too.

"Those people are obviously trying to kill him… It's my fault. I should have followed him out last night…" An deeply regretted his actions and beat his chest with his fists.

It felt like it was all too late now.

Huo Mian comforted An with complicated feelings.

"Don't think that way. Maybe he was trying to protect you. An, Su Yu is as strong a fighter as you. If he could be captured so easily, maybe you going wouldn't make a difference. Don't blame yourself too much."

"President Huo, I've always found you as the smartest person. President Su cares about you the most. You must think of a way to save him." 

An was now a complete mess. All he could do was put all his hopes on Huo Mian.
