Qin Chu immediately took off her coat and put it on Huo Mian.

"Pudding, why aren't you sleeping?"

Pudding was afraid that her father would kill Little Black to get revenge for Huo Mian.

"Honey, come in bed. Hug me."

Huo Mian looked at Qin Chu with innocent eyes. She looked so endearing. 

Qin Chu looked at his watch and said, "Sorry Mian. It's late now and I have to go organize the documents at work. I have a morning conference. You should go back to bed."

Huo Mian was so unhappy that she turned around.

In response, Qin Chu pulled up her blanket before he went back to his study.

Inside the twins' room, Pudding lost her desire to sleep so she lightly shook her sister.

"Little Bean, Little Bean, wake up." 

"Huhh… Stop annoying me. I'm sleepy…"

"Little Bean, I have something really important to talk to you about."

"I don't care. I want to sleep."

Little Bean covered herself with her blanket, not allowing a chance for her sister to speak.

Pudding had so much to say. There was so much confusion in her but she didn't know who to speak to.

She actually wanted to tell her father but she knew he loved her mother dearly. If he knew she was suspicious of her own mother, she was afraid he would have a bad opinion of her.

Pudding had a long, confused monologue with herself for over an hour. Only after was she able to slowly fall back asleep. 

The next morning during breakfast, everyone was very considerate of Huo Mian's feelings.

"Mian, your body is weak. You should eat more but make sure you eat more mild tasting food. Also, you should get more nutrition." Qin Chu's mother had made Huo Mian dates and tremella congee.

"Thanks Mom."

"Child, no need to be so polite."

"Honey, are you going to work soon."

"Mhm." Qin Chu nodded.

"Then can I go to my mom's place alone? I miss my mom," Huo Mian said.

"Yeah. I'll have the driver and bodyguards go with you."

"Daddy. Although we have school today, can we go to grandma's place with Mommy?" Little Bean begged.

"No. The teacher said we have politics today. We must go," Pudding rejected Little Bean's suggestion.

"You two should be good girls and go to school. I'll have a surprise for you after school."

"Really? What kind of surprise?" Little Bean's eyes lit up.
