"You're wasting my time. Since you don't want to go, I'll help you."2

Jack took the machine gun from the black guy standing next to him and aimed at Su Yu.

Immediately, Huo Mian got up from the ground and stood before Su Yu.

"What are you doing?" Huo Mian demanded with a frown.

"Delivering you guys… to heaven."

With a chuckle, Jack pulled the trigger.

Huo Mian and Su Yu held their breaths, thinking Jack was taking this opportunity to retaliate them. They would die now.

But as he pulled the trigger, Jack turned the gun at the men behind him.

Dadadada… with the gunshots, the dozen or so men following Jack all fell to the ground with bloody holes in their chests. 

Huo Mian and Su Yu were dumbfounded.

"Why?" Huo Mian was stunned by Jack's sudden change.

"Long time no see, my Sister Mian…" Jack gave her a tender smile.

Huo Mian would never forget this smile.

She had seen it countless times on that deserted island and no one could mimic this expression of Huo Siqan's.

So, he wasn't Jack at all?

"Huo Siqian… You, you… When did you come out?"

Huo Mian meant to ask when he changed back to Huo Siqian; after all, he had to transfer from his alternate personality.

In the jungle, water was precious and wet wipes were luxurious.

Huo Mian didn't resist; after the scary moment, she was too exhausted to think.

She just stood there quietly and let Huo Siqian clean her face.

"Look… You're pretty again." Huo Siqian looked at Huo Mian's elegant face with a smile.

"Huo Siqian, who on earth is your master? What's her purpose of getting us here?"

Su Yu asked impatiently, knowing Huo Siqian was definitely not their enemy even though he wasn't their friend, either.

"I'll tell you later. Mian, you must be exhausted. Come on and get into the car."

Before she could reply, Huo Siqian bent and carried her in his arms before walking toward the only ORV.

"Su Yu, come on."

As Su Yu stood where he was in a daze, Huo Mian called out to him.

Snapping back to his senses, Su Yu followed them.

"You drive. I'll sit with Mian in the back seat," Huo Siqian directed Su Yu.

"Why?" Mr. Su was reluctant since he also wanted to sit with Mian in the back seat.
