"Do you want the truth or do you want me to lie?"2

Huo Siqian unwrapped a lollipop and passed it to Huo Mian.

He then unwrapped another one and put it in his own mouth, mischievous like a young child.

"Duh, of course the truth."

"The truth… is… I haven't thought about it. We should focus on escaping first." Huo Siqian laughed.

"What kind of talk is that? After we finish our meal, we'll keep driving. We'll reach the city in less than 6 hours, right?"

Ever since Huo Siqian pointed a gun to his head, the store clerk had been shivering, even his voice was trembling.

Su Yu picked out the braised pork flavored ramen and placed it in front of Huo Mian.

"You're pregnant. Don't eat anything too spicy. Try it."

"Okay."

Afterward, Su Yu also brought out his and Huo Siqian's ramen. The trio sat down around the table.

After their meal, Su Yu rubbed his round belly, satisfied.

A bowl of ramen brought him more satisfaction than any fine cuisine he'd had before.

"We should grab some for the road. What if we get hungry?" Su Yu 

"We can't boil water in the car. Just get some instant foods. Grab some water," Huo Siqian replied.

With that, Huo Siqian and Su Yu each grabbed a shopping bag and filled them with food from the store.

After the trio left the store, Huo Mian suddenly heard a weak sound…

Her heart stopped.

"Wait!" she yelled, startling both Huo Siqian and Su Yu.

"What?" Huo Mian's odd outburst confused the wits out of Su Yu.
